James 3 - YLT (Punjabi)

1 Many teachers become not, my brethren, having known that greater judgment we shall receive,ਆਪਣੇ ਕਥਨ ਉੱਪਰ ਕਾਬੂ ਰੱਖੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣੋ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਬਣਨ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ। ਕਿਉਂ? ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਕਠੋਰਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

2 for we all make many stumbles; if any one in word doth not stumble, this one `is' a perfect man, able to bridle also the whole body;ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਗਲਤੀਆਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਜੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਵੀ ਕੋਈ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਖਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਲਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਸੰਪੂਰਣ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਉੱਪਰ ਕਾਬੂ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੇ ਵੀ ਯੋਗ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

3 lo, the bits we put into the mouths of the horses for their obeying us, and their whole body we turn about;ਅਸੀਂ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਗਾਮਾਂ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਘੋੜਾਂ ਸਾਡਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ ਸੁਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਗਾਮਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ।

4 lo, also the ships, being so great, and by fierce winds being driven, are led about by a very small helm, whithersoever the impulse of the helmsman doth counsel,ਜਹਾਜ਼, ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਇਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਜ਼ ਹਵਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਚਲਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਛੋਟਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਇੱਕ ਪਤਵਾਰ ਉਸ ਵੱਡੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਉਸ ਪਤਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਨਿਰਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਕਿਧਰ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਉਧਰ ਹੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਜਿਧਰ ਉਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

5 so also the tongue is a little member, and doth boast greatly; lo, a little fire how much wood it doth kindle!ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਇਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਸਾਡੀ ਜ਼ਬਾਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਛੋਟਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਅੰਗ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਇਹ ਸ਼ੇਖੀ ਮਾਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਮਹਾਨ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੰਗਲ ਦੀ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਅੱਗ ਇੱਕ ਨਿੱਕੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਚੰਗਿਆਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਭੜਕ ਸੱਕਦੀ ਹੈ।

6 and the tongue `is' a fire, the world of the unrighteousness, so the tongue is set in our members, which is spotting our whole body, and is setting on fire the course of nature, and is set on fire by the gehenna.ਜ਼ੁਬਾਨ ਅੱਗ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਬਦੀ ਦੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਹੈ। ਕਿਵੇਂ? ਜ਼ੁਬਾਨ ਆਪਣੀ ਬਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ੈਲਾ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਅੱਗ ਲਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਸਰ ਪਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜ਼ੁਬਾਨ ਅੱਗ ਨਰਕ ਤੋਂ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।

7 For every nature, both of beasts and of fowls, both of creeping things and things of the sea, is subdued, and hath been subdued, by the human nature,ਲੋਕੀ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ, ਸੱਪਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੱਛੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਧਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।

8 and the tongue no one of men is able to subdue, `it is' an unruly evil, full of deadly poison,ਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੀਭ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਇਹ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਦ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਜਹਿਰ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੱਕਦੀ ਹੈ।

9 with it we do bless the God and Father, and with it we do curse the men made according to the similitude of God;ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ੁਬਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਰਤਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਾਪ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਵਰਤਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ।

10 out of the same mouth doth come forth blessing and cursing; it doth not need, my brethren, these things so to happen;ਉਸਤਤਿ ਅਤੇ ਗਾਲਾਂ ਉਸੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿਕਲਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣੋ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

11 doth the fountain out of the same opening pour forth the sweet and the bitter?ਕੀ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਅਤੇ ਲੂਣਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਇੱਕੋ ਸਮੇਂ ਝਰਨੇ ਤੋਂ ਫ਼ੁੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ? ਨਹੀਂ।

12 is a fig-tree able, my brethren, olives to make? or a vine figs? so no fountain salt and sweet water `is able' to make.ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣੋ ਕੀ ਅੰਜੀਰ ਦੇ ਪੇੜ ਉੱਤੇ ਜੈਤੂਨ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਲ ਉਗ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਨ? ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀ ਅੰਗੂਰ ਦੀ ਵੇਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਜੈਤੂਨ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਲ ਉੱਗ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਨ? ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀ ਅੰਗੂਰ ਦੀ ਵੇਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਅੰਜੀਰ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਲ ਉੱਗ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਨਹੀਂ। ਅਤੇ ਲੂਣੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਖੂਹ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇ ਸੱਕਦਾ।

13 Who `is' wise and intelligent among you? let him shew out of the good behaviour his works in meekness of wisdom,ਅਸਲੀ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਕੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਬੁੱਧੀਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਝਣ ਦੇ ਕਾਬਿਲ ਹੈ? ਤਾਂ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਮ੍ਰ ਢੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹੀ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਬੁੱਧ ਸਾਬਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਿਉ। ਇੱਕ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।

14 and if bitter zeal ye have, and rivalry in your heart, glory not, nor lie against the truth;ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਖੁਦਗਰਜ਼ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੌੜੀ ਈਰਖਾ ਭਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਕਾਰਣ ਨਹੀਂ। ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਝੂਠਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸੱਚ ਨੂੰ ਛੁਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

15 this wisdom is not descending from above, but earthly, physical, demon-like,ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ “ਸਿਆਣਪ” ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ। ਇਹ “ਸਿਆਣਪ” ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨੀ ਹੈ।

16 for where zeal and rivalry `are', there is insurrection and every evil matter;ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵੀ ਈਰਖਾ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਦਗਰਜ਼ੀ ਹੈ ਗੜਬੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਦੀ ਓੱਥੇ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।

17 and the wisdom from above, first, indeed, is pure, then peaceable, gentle, easily entreated, full of kindness and good fruits, uncontentious, and unhypocritical: --ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪਹਿਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਇਹ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸ਼ਾਂਤਮਈ, ਕੋਮਲ ਅਤੇ ਆਸਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਹਮਦਰਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਨਿਆਂਈ ਅਤੇ ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

18 and the fruit of the righteousness in peace is sown to those making peace.ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤਮਈ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੰਗੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
