Isaiah 53
1 ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਸੀਂ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਕਿਸਨੇ ਯਕੀਨ ਕੀਤਾ? ਕਿਸਨੇ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ?
2 ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਇੱਕ ਛੋਟੇ ਪੌਦੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਉਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਖੁਸ਼ਕ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਉੱਗਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਜਢ਼ ਵਾਂਗ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਖਾਸ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਜੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਵੱਲ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਖਾਸ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਦੇਣੀ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਸੰਦ ਕਰਨ ਯੋਗ ਬਣਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੋਵੇ।
3 ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਮਜ਼ਾਕ ਉਡਾਇਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦੋਸਤ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਗਏ। ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਆਦਮੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਦਰਦ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਸੀ। ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਨਾ ਆਦਰ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਖ ਸੱਕਣ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
4 ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਲੈ ਲਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਣਾ ਲਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਦਾਸ਼ਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਅਸੀਂ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅਮਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਅਸੀਂ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ।
5 ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਬੁਰਿਆਈਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਮਿਲੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਗੁਨਾਹ ਬਦਲੇ ਕੁਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਕਰਜ਼ਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਿਰ ਸੀ-ਸਾਡੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ-ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਕਾਰਣ ਹੀ ਸਿਹਤਯਾਬ ਹੋਏ ਸਾਂ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਅਰੋਗਤਾ ਮਿਲੀ (ਮਾਫ਼ੀ ਮਿਲੀ) ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਕਾਰਣ।
6 ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਭਟਕ ਗਏ। ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੁਰ ਗਏ। ਅਸੀਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਉਦੋਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਾਪ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਪਾਪ ਆਪਣੇ ਜ਼ਿਂਮੇ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ।
7 ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ। ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਦੇ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਖਿਆ-ਜਿਵੇਂ ਭੇਡ ਜ਼ਿਬਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਲਿਜਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਲੇਲੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਦੋਂ ਜ਼ਰਾ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਵੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਉਸਦੀ ਉੱਨ ਲਾਹੁਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ।
8 ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਤਾਕਤ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਗਏ-ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਬੇਲਾਗ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੱਸ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਲੈ ਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ।
9 ਉਹ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਮੀਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਦਫ਼ਨਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਦਫ਼ਨਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਗ਼ਲਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਦੇ ਝੂਠ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਬੋਲਿਆ-ਪਰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਪਰੀਆ।
10 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਚਲਣ ਦਾ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਮਿਲਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਲੰਮੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਨਵਾਂ ਜੀਵਨ ਜੀਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਿਆਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਕਰਵਾਉਣੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
11 ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਤਮੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਭੋਗੇਗਾ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖੇਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਵਾਪਰਨਗੀਆਂ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। “ਮੇਰਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਗੁਨਾਹ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਪ ਦੂਰ ਲੈ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
12 ਇਸ ਕਾਰਣ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਨਾਮ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤਾਕਤਵਰ ਹਨ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਹੀ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੁਜਰਿਮ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਸੱਚ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਆਪਣੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੈ ਲੇ। ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ।”
1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?
2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
Job 14 in Tamil and English
1 ইয়োব বললেন, “আমরা প্রত্যেকেই মানুষ| আমাদের জীবন ক্ষণস্থায়ী এবং সমস্যায় পূর্ণ|
Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.
2 মানুষের জীবন ফুলের মত| সে তাড়াতাড়ি বড় হয় এবং তারপর মারা যায়| মানুষের জীবন একটা ছায়ার মত যা অল্পক্ষণের জন্য এখানে থাকে এবং তারপর আবার চলে যায়|
He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.
3 কিন্তু যদিও আমি নেহাতই একটি মানুষ মাত্র, আপনি আমার ওপর মনোয়োগ দেন এবং আমাকে আদালতে নিয়ে যান|
And dost thou open thine eyes upon such an one, and bringest me into judgment with thee?
4 “কিন্তু অশুচি কিছু থেকে কেই বা শুচি কিছু তৈরী করতে পারে? কেউই নয়!
Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.
5 মানুষের জীবন সীমিত| ঈশ্বর, আপনিই স্থির করেছেন মানুষ কতদিন বাঁচবে| আপনিই মানুষের জন্য সেই সীমা নির্ধারণ করেন এবং কোন কিছুই আর তাকে পরিবর্তন করতে পারে না|
Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;
6 তাই ঈশ্বর, আমাদের প্রতি লক্ষ্য রাখা বন্ধ করুন| আমাদের একা ছেড়ে দিন| আমাদের সময় শেষ হওয়া পর্য়ন্ত আমাদের কঠিন জীবন আমাদের উপভোগ করতে দিন|
Turn from him, that he may rest, till he shall accomplish, as an hireling, his day.
7 “এমনকি একটা গাছেরও আশা আছে| যদি না তাকে কেটে ফেলা হয় তা আবার বড় হতে পারে| তা আবার নতুন অঙ্কুর ছড়িয়ে দিতে পারে|
For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.
8 এর শিকড় মাটির নীচে বুড়ো হয়ে য়েতে পারে, এর কাণ্ড ধূলায মরে য়েতে পারে,
Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;
9 কিন্তু যদি সামান্য একটুও জল পায় আবার তা বাড়তে শুরু করে| নতুন গাছের মতই তা আবার বড় হতে থাকে|
Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.
10 কিন্তু যখন এক জন শক্তসমর্থ মানুষ মরে, সে শেষ হয়ে যায়| যখন মানুষ মরে যায়, সে চলে যায় ঠিক
But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he?
11 দীঘি য়েমন শুকিয়ে যায় অথবা নদী য়েমন শুকিয়ে যায় তার মতন|
As the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up:
12 যখন এক জন মানুষ মরে যায়, সে শুয়ে পড়ে এবং সে আর ওঠে না| এক জন মৃত লোক উঠে দাঁড়াবার আগে এই আকাশমণ্ডল অদৃশ্য হয়ে যাবে| না| সেই নিদ্রা থেকে মানুষ আর জাগবে না|
So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.
13 আমার ইচ্ছা আপনি আমাকে আমার কবরে লুকিয়ে রাখুন| আমার ইচ্ছা, আপনার ক্রোধ প্রশমিত না হওয়া পর্য়ন্ত আপনি আমায় সেই খানে লুকিয়ে রাখুন| তারপর না হয় আমাকে স্মরণ করার জন্য আপনি একটা সময় বের করবেন|
O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me!
14 যদি কোন লোক মারা যায়, সে কি আবার বাঁচবে? যদি তাই সম্ভব হয় আমি আমার মুক্তি পর্য়ন্ত অপেক্ষা করবো|
If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.
15 ঈশ্বর, আপনি আমায় ডাকবেন এবং আমি আপনার ডাকে সাড়া দেবো| তাহলে আমি, যাকে আপনি তৈরী করেছেন, সেই আমি আপনার কাছে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ হয়ে উঠব|
Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands.
16 আমার প্রত্যেকটি পদক্ষেপে আপনি আমায় লক্ষ্য করুন, কিন্তু আমার পাপ মনে রাখবেন না|
For now thou numberest my steps: dost thou not watch over my sin?
17 আমার সমস্ত পাপ আপনি একটা থলেতে ভরে, তার মুখ বন্ধ করে, তাকে দূরে ছুঁড়ে ফেলে দেবেন|
My transgression is sealed up in a bag, and thou sewest up mine iniquity.
18 “পর্বতও ভেঙে যায় এবং ধূলায পরিণত হয়; বড় পাথরও আলগা হয়ে ভেঙে পড়ে|
And surely the mountain falling cometh to nought, and the rock is removed out of his place.
19 তাদের ওপর দিয়ে জলরাশি প্রবাহিত হয়ে তাদের ধুয়ে নিয়ে যায়| বন্যা ভূমির মাটিকে ধুয়ে নিয়ে যায়| সেই ভাবেই হে ঈশ্বর, আপনি এক জন মানুষের আশা এবং ইচ্ছা ধ্বংস করেন|
The waters wear the stones: thou washest away the things which grow out of the dust of the earth; and thou destroyest the hope of man.
20 আপনি তাকে সম্পূর্ণ পরাজিত করেন এবং সে চলে যায়| আপনি তাকে দুঃখী করেন এবং চির দিনের জন্য তাকে মৃত্যুলোকে পাঠিয়ে দেন|
Thou prevailest for ever against him, and he passeth: thou changest his countenance, and sendest him away.
21 তার ছেলেরা হয়ত সম্মান পেতে পারে, অথবা তারা হয়ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ না হতে পারে, কিন্তু সে কখনও জানতে পারবে না|
His sons come to honour, and he knoweth it not; and they are brought low, but he perceiveth it not of them.
22 সেই লোকটি তার শরীরে কেবল যন্ত্রণা ভোগ করে এবং সে উচ্চস্বরে কেবল নিজের জন্যই কাঁদে|”
But his flesh upon him shall have pain, and his soul within him shall mourn.
