Isaiah 48:5
ਇਸ ਲਈ, ਬਹੁਤ ਸਮਾਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਸੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕਿ ਵਾਪਰੇਗਾ ਕੀ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਾਪਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਨਾ ਆਖ ਸੱਕੋਁ, ‘ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ? ਸਡੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ।’”

| lest thee: it | הִשְׁמַעְתִּ֑יךָ | hišmaʿtîkā | heesh-ma-TEE-ha |
| thou shouldest say, | פֶּן | pen | pen |
| idol Mine | תֹּאמַר֙ | tōʾmar | toh-MAHR |
| hath done them, | עָצְבִּ֣י | ʿoṣbî | ohts-BEE |
| image, graven my and | עָשָׂ֔ם | ʿāśām | ah-SAHM |
| and my molten image, | וּפִסְלִ֥י | ûpislî | oo-fees-LEE |
| hath commanded | וְנִסְכִּ֖י | wĕniskî | veh-nees-KEE |
