Isaiah 42
14 ਬਹੁਤ ਧੀਰਜਵਾਨ ਹੈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ “ਬੜੇ ਚਿਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਖਿਆ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਤ੍ਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਖਿਆ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਉੱਚੀ ਚਾਂਘਰਾਂ ਮਾਰਾਂਗਾ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਔਰਤ ਬੱਚਾ ਜਣਨ ਸਮੇਂ ਮਾਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਾਰੋ-ਜ਼ਾਰ ਦੀ ਸਾਹ ਭਰਾਂਗਾ।
15 ਮੈਂ ਪਹਾੜੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਬਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਓੱਥੇ ਉਗਦੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਪੌਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਕਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਨਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰੂਬਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਬਦਲ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਸੁਕਾ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।
14 I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.
15 I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools.
