Hosea 6
4 ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾ ਲੋਕ “ਓ ਅਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਕਰਾਂ? ਓ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਕਰਾਂ? ਤੇਰੀ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਦੀ ਧੁੰਦ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੈ ਤੇਰੀ ਵਫਾਦਾਰੀ ਉਸ ਤਰੇਲ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਸਾਰ ਹੀ ਅਲੋਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
5 ਮੈਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਟੁਕੜਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੱਟਣ ਲਈ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਰਤਿਆ। ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਆਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਮੇਰਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
6 ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਬਲੀਦਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ। ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁਂਨਾ ਲੋਕ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨਣ, ਨਾ ਕਿ ਹੋਮ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੇ ਲਿਆਉਣ।
7 ਪਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਦਮ ਵਿਖੇ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਤੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਹ ਓੱਥੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾ ਸਨ।
8 ਗਿਲਆਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਬਦੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਗੁਮਰਾਹ ਕਰਕੇ ਦੂਸਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
9 ਡਾਕੂ ਛੁਪ ਕੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੁਜਾਰੀ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਕੇ, ਉਹ ਸ਼ਕਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਤਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਬਦਕਾਰੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
10 ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਕੌਮ ਵਿੱਚ, ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਵੇਖੀ। ਅਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਪਾਪ ਨਾਲ ਦੂਸ਼ਿਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
4 O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away.
5 Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth.
6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
7 But they like men have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.
8 Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity, and is polluted with blood.
9 And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way by consent: for they commit lewdness.
10 I have seen an horrible thing in the house of Israel: there is the whoredom of Ephraim, Israel is defiled.
