Hosea 1
1 ਹੋਸ਼ੇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਬੇਰੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੋਸ਼ੇਆ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹਾਂ ਉਜ਼ੀਯਾਹ, ਯੋਥਾਮ, ਆਹਾਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ, ਯੋਆਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸੀ।
2 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਸ਼ੇਆ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਇੱਕ ਵੇਸ਼ਵਾ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਵਾ ਜਿਸਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਚੋ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਏ ਹੋਣ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਸਵਾਵਾਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੀ ਸਲੂਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।”
3 ਯਿਜ਼ਰੇਲ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਤਾਂ ਹੋਸ਼ੇਆ ਨੇ ਦਿਬਲਾਇਮ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਗੋਮਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਆਹ ਲਿਆ। ਗੋਮਰ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹੋਸ਼ੇਆ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਨਮਿਆ।
4 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਹੋਸ਼ੇਆ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਸਦਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਯਿਜ਼ਰੇਲ ਰੱਖ, ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਬੋੜੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ, ਮੈਂ ਯੇਹੂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਯਿਜ਼ਰੇਲ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਵਹਾਏ ਗਏ ਖੂਨ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।
5 ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਉਸੇ ਦਿਨ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਧਨੁੱਖ ਯਿਜ਼ਰੇਲ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੋੜ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।”
6 ਲੋ-ਰੂਹਾਮਾਹ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਗੋਮਰ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਹੋਸ਼ੇਆ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਲੋ-ਰੂਹਾਮਾਹ ਰੱਖ। ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਕੌਮ ਉੱਪਰ ਰਹਿਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਰਸਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਖਸ਼ਾਂਗਾ।
7 ਇਸ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਇ, ਮੈਂ ਹੁਣ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੀ ਕੌਮ ਤੇ ਰਹਿਮ ਵਰਸਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਧਨੁੱਥਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਜੰਗੀ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਚਾਵਾਂਗਾ।”
8 ਲੋ-ਅੰਮੀ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਲੋ-ਰੂਹਾਮਾਹ ਦਾ ਦੁੱਧ ਛੁਡਾਉਣ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਗੋਮਰ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੜ ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
9 ਫ਼ਿਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਲੋ-ਅੰਮੀ ਰੱਖ। ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ।”
10 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਇੱਥੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਹੋਣਗੇ “ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਰੇਤ ਵਾਂਗ ਅਣਗਿਣਤ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਉਬੇ ਹੀ ਵਾਪਰੇਗਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ‘ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ।’ ਉੱਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ‘ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਹੋਂ!’
11 “ਫ਼ਿਰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਮੁੜ ਤੋਂ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਾਸਕ ਚੁਣਨਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੈਦ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਚੱਲੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਇਉਂ ਯਿਜ਼ਰੇਲ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਵਾਸਤਵ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।”
1 The word of the Lord that came unto Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.
2 The beginning of the word of the Lord by Hosea. And the Lord said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the Lord.
3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son.
4 And the Lord said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.
5 And it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.
6 And she conceived again, and bare a daughter. And God said unto him, Call her name Lo-ruhamah: for I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel; but I will utterly take them away.
7 But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the Lord their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.
8 Now when she had weaned Lo-ruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son.
9 Then said God, Call his name Lo-ammi: for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God.
10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.
11 Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel.
Job 6 in Tamil and English
1 ఈ మాట ఆలకించి నీ మేలుకొరకు తెలిసికొనుము.దానికి యోబు ఇట్లని ప్రత్యుత్తరమిచ్చెను
But Job answered and said,
2 నా దుఃఖము చక్కగా తూచబడును గాకదాని సరిచూచుటకై నాకు వచ్చిన ఆపద త్రాసులోపెట్టబడును గాక.
Oh that my grief were throughly weighed, and my calamity laid in the balances together!
3 ఆలాగున చేసినయెడల నా విపత్తు సముద్రములఇసుకకన్న బరువుగా కనబడును. అందువలన నేను నిరర్థకమైన మాటలు పలికితిని.
For now it would be heavier than the sand of the sea: therefore my words are swallowed up.
4 సర్వశక్తుడగు దేవుని అంబులు నాలో చొచ్చెనువాటి విషమును నా ఆత్మ పానముచేయుచున్నదిదేవుని భీకరకార్యములు నాతో యుద్ధము చేయుటకై పంక్తులు తీరుచున్నవి.
For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, the poison whereof drinketh up my spirit: the terrors of God do set themselves in array against me.
5 అడవిగాడిద గడ్డి చూచి ఓండ్ర పెట్టునా?ఎద్దు మేత చూచి రంకెవేయునా?
Doth the wild ass bray when he hath grass? or loweth the ox over his fodder?
6 ఉప్పులేక యెవరైన రుచిలేనిదాని తిందురా? గ్రుడ్డులోని తెలుపులో రుచికలదా?
Can that which is unsavoury be eaten without salt? or is there any taste in the white of an egg?
7 నేను ముట్టనొల్లని వస్తువులు నాకు హేయములైనను అవియే నాకు భోజనపదార్థములాయెను.
The things that my soul refused to touch are as my sorrowful meat.
8 ఆహా నా విన్నపము నాకు నెరవేర్చబడును గాకనేను కోరుదానిని దేవుడు నెరవేర్చును గాక
Oh that I might have my request; and that God would grant me the thing that I long for!
9 దేవుడు తన యిష్టానుసారముగా నన్ను నలుపును గాకచేయి జాడించి ఆయన నన్ను నిర్మూలము చేయునుగాక.
Even that it would please God to destroy me; that he would let loose his hand, and cut me off!
10 అప్పుడు నేను పరిశుద్ధ దేవుని మాటలను ఒప్పుకొనకుండ లేదని నేను ఆదరణ పొందుదునుమరియు నేనెంత వేదనపడుచుండినను దాని బట్టి హర్షించుదును
Then should I yet have comfort; yea, I would harden myself in sorrow: let him not spare; for I have not concealed the words of the Holy One.
11 నా బలము ఏపాటిది? నేను కనిపెట్టుకొనుట యేల?నా అంతము ఏపాటిది? నేను తాళుకొనుట యేల?
What is my strength, that I should hope? and what is mine end, that I should prolong my life?
12 నా బలము రాళ్ల బలమువంటిదా?నా శరీరము ఇత్తడిదా?
Is my strength the strength of stones? or is my flesh of brass?
13 నాలో త్రాణ యేమియు లేదు గదా.శక్తి నన్ను బొత్తిగా విడిచిపోయెను గదా.
Is not my help in me? and is wisdom driven quite from me?
14 క్రుంగిపోయినవాడుసర్వశక్తుడగు దేవునియందు భయభక్తులు మాను కొనిననుస్నేహితుడు వానికి దయచూపతగును.
To him that is afflicted pity should be shewed from his friend; but he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty.
15 నా స్నేహితులు ఎండిన వాగువలెనుమాయమై పోవు జలప్రవాహములవలెను నమ్మకూడని వారైరి.
My brethren have dealt deceitfully as a brook, and as the stream of brooks they pass away;
16 మంచుగడ్డలుండుటవలననుహిమము వాటిలో పడుటవలనను అవి మురికిగా కనబడును
Which are blackish by reason of the ice, and wherein the snow is hid:
17 వేసవి రాగానే అవి మాయమై పోవునువెట్ట కలుగగానే అవి తమ స్థలమును విడిచి ఆరిపోవును.
What time they wax warm, they vanish: when it is hot, they are consumed out of their place.
18 వాటి నీళ్లు ప్రవహించుదారి త్రిప్పబడును, ఏమియులేకుండ అవి యింకిపోవును.
The paths of their way are turned aside; they go to nothing, and perish.
19 సమూహముగా ప్రయాణముచేయు తేమా వర్తకులు వాటిని వెదకుదురుషేబ వర్తకులు వాటికొరకు కనిపెట్టుదురు.
The troops of Tema looked, the companies of Sheba waited for them.
20 వారు వాటిని నమి్మనందుకు అవమానమొందుదురువాటి చేరువకు వచ్చి కలవరపడుదురు.
They were confounded because they had hoped; they came thither, and were ashamed.
21 అటువలె మీరు లేనట్టుగానే యున్నారుమీరు ఆపదను చూచి భయపడుచున్నారు.
For now ye are nothing; ye see my casting down, and are afraid.
22 ఏమైన దయచేయుడని నేను మిమ్ము నడిగితినా? మీ ఆస్తిలోనుండి నాకొరకు బహుమానమేమైన తెమ్మని యడిగితినా?
Did I say, Bring unto me? or, Give a reward for me of your substance?
23 పగవానిచేతిలోనుండి నన్ను విడిపింపుడని యడిగితినా?బాధించువారి చేతిలోనుండి నన్ను విమోచింపుడనియడిగితినా?
Or, Deliver me from the enemy’s hand? or, Redeem me from the hand of the mighty?
24 నాకుపదేశము చేయుడి, నేను మౌనినై యుండెదనుఏ విషయమందు నేను తప్పిపోతినో అది నాకుతెలియజేయుడి.
Teach me, and I will hold my tongue: and cause me to understand wherein I have erred.
25 యథార్థమైన మాటలు ఎంతో బలమైనవి అయినను మీ గద్దింపు దేనికి ప్రయోజనము?
How forcible are right words! but what doth your arguing reprove?
26 మాటలను గద్దించుదమని మీరనుకొందురా?నిరాశగలవాని మాటలు గాలివంటివే గదా.
Do ye imagine to reprove words, and the speeches of one that is desperate, which are as wind?
27 మీరు తండ్రిలేనివారిని కొనుటకై చీట్లువేయుదురు,మీ స్నేహితులమీద బేరము సాగింతురు.
Yea, ye overwhelm the fatherless, and ye dig a pit for your friend.
28 దయచేసి నావైపు చూడుడి, మీ ముఖము ఎదుటనేను అబద్ధమాడుదునా?
Now therefore be content, look upon me; for it is evident unto you if I lie.
29 అన్యాయము లేకుండ నా సంగతి మరల విచారించుడిమరల విచారించుడి, నేను నిర్దోషినిగా కనబడుదును.
Return, I pray you, let it not be iniquity; yea, return again, my righteousness is in it.
30 నా నోట అన్యాయముండునా?దుర్మార్గత రుచి నా నోరు తెలిసికొనజాలదా?
Is there iniquity in my tongue? cannot my taste discern perverse things?
