“ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਾਦ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੋਕਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਪਰਤਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਧਨ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਅਮੀਰ ਆਦਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਜ਼ਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇੱਕ ਅਮੀਰ ਆਦਮੀ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਮਹੀਨ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਵਸਤਰ ਪਹਿਨਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਐਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰਸਤੀ ਦੀ ਜਿੰਦਗੀ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ।

ਆਪਣੇ ਕਥਨ ਉੱਪਰ ਕਾਬੂ ਰੱਖੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣੋ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਬਣਨ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ। ਕਿਉਂ? ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਕਠੋਰਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
