Jeremiah 28:3
ਦੋ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਤਮ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਬਾਬਲ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਥੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਪਸ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ।

ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਚੋ ਸਾਰਾ ਖਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਵੀ ਸਾਰਾ ਖਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਲੁੱਟ ਲਿਆ। ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਜੋ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖੇ ਸਨ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੱਟ ਕੇ ਤੋੜ ਕੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਕਹੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਟੁਕੜੇ-ਟੁਕੜੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ।

ਬਹਾਰ ਦੇ ਮੌਸਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਨ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜਨ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਨ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਹਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਬਾਬਲ ਲੈ ਆਏ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਨ ਦੇ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਦੀ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਚੁਣਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਸੀ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ।

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਲੇਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੀਨਾਰ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ। ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 47:9
ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੇਰੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਛੋਟੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਸਨ। ਮੈਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 130 ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਜੀਵਿਆ ਹਾਂ। ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਡੇਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਜੀਵੇ ਸਨ।”

ਯਾਕੂਬ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ 17 ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਜੀਵਿਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਾਕੂਬ 147 ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆ ਦਾ ਸੀ।
ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 90:10
ਇਹ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ 70 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਜੀਵੀਏ। ਜੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਤਕੜੇ ਹਾਂ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਉਮਰ 80 ਸਾਲਾ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀਆਂ ਸਖਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹਨ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਅਚਾਨਕ, ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀਆਂ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਦੂਰ ਉੱਡ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 27:16
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ: ਉਹ ਝੂਠੇ ਨਬੀ ਆਖ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ‘ਬਾਬਲ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਛੇਤੀ ਵਾਪਸ ਲਿਆਂਦੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।’ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਾ ਸੁਣੋ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਝੂਠ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਨੇ।
