Genesis 7
1 ਹੜ੍ਹ ਦਾ ਆਰੰਭ ਹੋਣਾ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਨੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਆਦਮੀ ਹੈਂ, ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਵੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਿਆਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਜਾ।
2 ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਕ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੱਤ ਜੋੜੇ (ਨਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਦਾ) ਜੋ ਬਲੀ ਦੇ ਲਾਇੱਕ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਜੋੜਾ (ਇੱਕ ਨਰ ਤੇ ਸੱਤ ਮਾਦਾ) ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ।
3 ਅੱਜ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਤਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਮੈਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਾਰੀ ਬਾਰਿਸ਼ ਭੇਜਾਂਗਾ। ਚਾਲੀ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਲੀ ਰਾਤਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਬਾਰਿਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ। ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਹਰ ਸ਼ੈਅ ਨੂੰ ਪੂੰਝ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਹਰ ਓਸ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਸਾਜਿਆ ਸੀ।”
4 ਨੂਹ ਨੇ ਹਰ ਉਹ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।
5 ਜਦੋਂ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਆਏ, ਨੂਹ 600 ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸੀ।
6 ਨੂਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਨੂਹ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਨੂਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ।
7 ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਕ ਜਾਨਵਰ, ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ, ਪੰਛੀ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੀਂਗਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਜੀਵ,
8 ਨੂਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ। ਏਹ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜੋੜਿਆਂ, ਨਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਦਾ, ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
9 ਸੱਤਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਾਰਿਸ਼ ਹੋਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਈ।
10 ਨੂਹ ਦੇ 600 ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੇ 17ਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਹੇਠਲੇ ਸਮੂਜ ਝਰਨੇ ਫ਼ਟ ਕੇ ਫੁੱਟ ਪਏ ਓਸੇ ਦਿਨ, ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਾਰੀ ਬਾਰਿਸ਼ ਹੋਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਖਿੜਕੀਆਂ ਖੁਲ੍ਹ ਗਈਆਂ ਹੋਣ।
11 ਚਾਲੀ ਦਿਨ ਤੇ ਚਾਲੀ ਰਾਤਾਂ ਭਾਰੀ ਬਾਰਿਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਰਹੀ।
12 ਓਸੇ ਦਿਨ ਨੂਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ-ਸ਼ੇਮ, ਹਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਫ਼ਥ-ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਲੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ।
13 ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ। ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਸ਼ੂ, ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੀਂਗਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ, ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੰਛੀ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ।
14 ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਿਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ-ਇੱਕ ਜੋੜਾ ਨੂਹ ਕੋਲ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਆ ਗਿਆ।
15 ਇਹ ਸਮੂਹ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜੋੜਿਆਂ (ਨਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਦਾ) ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਨੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਨੂਹ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
16 ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਚਾਲੀ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਫ਼ੈਲਿਆ ਰਿਹਾ। ਪਾਣੀ ਚਢ਼ਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਉੱਠਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
17 ਪਾਣੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਪਾਣੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੈਰਨ ਲਗੀ।
18 ਪਾਣੀ ਇੰਨਾ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਵੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਢੱਕੇ ਗਏ।
19 ਪਾਣੀ ਪਹਾੜਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਉੱਠਣ ਲੱਗਾ। ਪਾਣੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ 20 ਫੁੱਟ ਉੱਚਾ ਉੱਠ ਗਿਆ।
20 ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤਲਾ ਹਰ ਜੀਵ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ-ਹਰ ਆਦਮੀ ਤੇ ਹਰ ਔਰਤ, ਹਰ ਪੰਛੀ, ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ। ਸੁੱਕੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਹ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹਰ ਸ਼ੈਅ ਮਰ ਗਈ।
21 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਜਿਉਂਦੀ ਸ਼ੈਅ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ: ਹਰ ਆਦਮੀ, ਹਰ ਜਾਨਵਰ, ਹਰ ਰੀਂਗਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਜੀਵ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਪੰਛੀ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸ਼ੈਆਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਉਹ ਨੂਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਵਾਰ ਲੋਕ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਸਨ।
22 ਪਾਣੀ 150 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਫ਼ੈਲਿਆ ਰਿਹਾ।
1 And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
2 Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
3 Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.
4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.
5 And Noah did according unto all that the Lord commanded him.
6 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.
7 And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
8 Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,
9 There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.
10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
13 In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;
14 They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.
15 And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.
16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the Lord shut him in.
17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.
18 And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.
19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.
20 Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.
21 And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:
22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.
23 And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.
24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.
1 Say ye unto your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah.
2 Plead with your mother, plead: for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight, and her adulteries from between her breasts;
3 Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst.
4 And I will not have mercy upon her children; for they be the children of whoredoms.
5 For their mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink.
6 Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths.
7 And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.
8 For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal.
9 Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and will recover my wool and my flax given to cover her nakedness.
10 And now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of mine hand.
11 I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.
12 And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, whereof she hath said, These are my rewards that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them.
13 And I will visit upon her the days of Baalim, wherein she burned incense to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgat me, saith the Lord.
14 Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her.
15 And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.
16 And it shall be at that day, saith the Lord, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali.
17 For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.
18 And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely.
19 And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.
20 I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the Lord.
21 And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith the Lord, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth;
22 And the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel.
23 And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.
