Genesis 44 - BBE (Punjabi)

1 Then he gave orders to the servant who was over his house, saying, Put as much food into the men's bags as will go into them, and put every man's money in the mouth of his bag;ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਜਾਲ ਸੁੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੌਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬੋਰੇ ਓਨੇ ਅਨਾਜ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਦਿਉ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਇਹ ਚੁੱਕ ਸੱਕਣ। ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਦੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਅਨਾਜ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੋਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖ ਦਿਉ।

2 And put my cup, my silver cup, in the youngest one's bag, with his money. So he did as Joseph said.ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟੇ ਭਰਾ ਦੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੋਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖ ਦਿਉ। ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੋਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰਾ ਖਾਸ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਵੀ ਰੱਖ ਦਿਉ।” ਇਸ ਲਈ ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਿਆ।

3 And at dawn the men, with their asses, were sent away.ਅਗਲੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਸੁਵਖਤੇ ਹੀ, ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੋਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਾਪਸ ਘੱਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

4 And when they had gone only a little way out of the town, Joseph said to the servant who was over his house, Go after them; and when you overtake them, say to them, Why have you done evil in reward for good?ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੂਰ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੌਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਅਤੇ ਆਖ, ‘ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਭਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ! ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਡਾ ਬੁਰਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ? ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਚੋਰੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ?

5 Is not this the cup from which my lord takes wine and by which he gets knowledge of the future? Truly, you have done evil.ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਉਸ ਪਿਆਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਅ ਪੀਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਗੁਪਤ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜਾਨਣ ਲਈ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਗਲਤ ਹੈ।’”

6 So he overtook them and said these words to them.ਇਸ ਲਈ ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਉਹ ਜਾਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਲ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕਿਹਾ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ।

7 And they said to him, Why does my lord say such words as these? far be it from your servants to do such a thing:ਪਰ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਨੌਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ? ਅਸੀਂ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ!

8 See, the money which was in the mouth of our bags we gave back to you when we came again from Canaan: how then might we take silver or gold from your lord's house?ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਪੈਸੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਏ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੋਰਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮਿਲੇ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਅਵੱਸ਼ ਹੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਤੋਂ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਜਾਂ ਸੋਨਾ ਚੋਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ।

9 If it comes to light that any of your servants has done this, let him be put to death, and we will be your lord's servants.ਜੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਬੋਰੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉਹ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋਂ, ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬਣ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੇ।”

10 And he said, Let it be as you say: he in whose bag it is seen will become my servant; and you will not be responsible.ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਅਸੀਂ ਉਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਖਦੇ ਹੋ। ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਾਂਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ। ਜੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਦੂਸਰੇ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਹੋਣਗੇ।”

11 Then every man quickly got his bag down and undid it.ਜਾਲ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਫ਼ੜਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਹਰੇਕ ਭਰਾ ਨੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਬੋਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਢੇਰੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

12 And he made a search, starting with the oldest and ending with the youngest; and the cup was in Benjamin's bag.ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਬੋਰੀਆਂ ਦੇਖਣੀਆਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਭਰਾ ਤੋਂ ਤਲਾਸ਼ੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟੇ ਅਤੇ ਖਤਮ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੀ ਬੋਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਲੱਭ ਲਿਆ।

13 Then in bitter grief they put the bags on the asses again and went back to the town.ਭਰਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਉਦਾਸ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਲੀਰੋ-ਲੀਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬੋਰੀਆਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਖੋਤਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੱਦ ਲਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਾਪਸ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ।

14 So Judah and his brothers came to Joseph's house; and he was still there: and they went down on their faces before him.ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵੱਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ। ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਸੀ। ਭਰਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਏ।

15 And Joseph said, What is this thing which you have done? had you no thought that such a man as I would have power to see what is secret?ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਕਿਉਂ ਕੀਤੀ? ਕੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਗੁਪਤ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜਾਨਣ ਦਾ ਖਾਸ ਤਰੀਕਾ ਹੈ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ।”

16 And Judah said, What are we to say to my lord? how may we put ourselves right in his eyes? God has made clear the sin of your servants: now we are in your hands, we and the man in whose bag your cup was seen.ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜਨਾਬ, ਸਾਡੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ! ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਰਸਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ। ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੋਈ ਤਰੀਕਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਸਾਬਤ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੀਏ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਕਰਨੀ ਲਈ ਸਾਡਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਤ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਹੋਵਾਂਗੇ ਜਿਸਦੇ ਬੋਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸੀ।”

17 Then he said, Far be it from me to do so: but the man who had my cup will be my servant; and you may go back to your father in peace.ਪਰ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਾਕੀ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗਾ! ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਹੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਚੁਰਾਇਆ ਸੀ, ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਾਕੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਣੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੋਲ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ।”

18 Then Judah came near him, and said, Let your servant say a word in my lord's ears, and let not your wrath be burning against your servant: for you are in the place of Pharaoh to us.ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੀ ਵਕਾਲਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼ ਕੋਲ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਾਨ ਜੀ, ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਫ਼-ਸਾਫ਼ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਦਿਉ। ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਰਾਜ਼ ਨਾ ਹੋਣਾ। ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਖੁਦ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੋ।

19 My lord said to his servants, Have you a father or a brother?ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਸੀ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਸੀ, ‘ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਜਾਂ ਭਰਾ ਹੈ?’

20 And we said to my lord, We have an old father and a young child, whom he had when he was old; his brother is dead and he is the only son of his mother, and is very dear to his father.ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ, ‘ਸਾਡਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਹੈ-ਉਹ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡਾ ਇੱਕ ਛੋਟਾ ਭਰਾ ਵੀ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਉਸ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਦੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਸਾਡਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਬੁੱਢਾ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਛੋਟੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ ਮਰ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਉਸ ਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਇੱਕੋ-ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।’

21 And you said to your servants, Let him come down to me with you, so that I may see him.ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਉਸ ਭਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਲਿਆਉ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।’

22 And we said to my lord, His father will not let him go; for if he went away his father would come to his death.ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ‘ਉਹ ਛੋਟਾ ਮੁੰਡਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਆ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਵੱਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਜੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗਵਾ ਲਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਇੰਨਾ ਉਦਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।’

23 But you said to your servants, If your youngest brother does not come with you, you will not see my face again.ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ‘ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟੇ ਭਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਉਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੋਬਾਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਾਂਗਾ।’

24 And when we went back to your servant, our father, we gave him an account of my lord's words.ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੋਲ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ।

25 And our father said, Go again and get us a little food.“ਬਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਵਾਪਸ ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਹੋਰ ਅਨਾਜ ਖਰੀਦ ਕੇ ਲਿਆਉ।’

26 And we said, Only if our youngest brother goes with us will we go down; for we may not see the man's face again if our youngest brother is not with us.ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟੇ ਭਰਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਦੇ। ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਓਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟੇ ਭਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੈਂਦਾ।’

27 And our father said to us, You have knowledge that my wife gave me two sons;ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਤੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਰਾਖੇਲ ਤੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੋ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ।

28 The one went away from me, and I said, Truly he has come to a violent death; and from that time I have not seen him,ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ।

29 If now you take this one from me, and some evil comes to him, you will make my grey head go down in sorrow to the underworld.ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਲੈ ਜਾਵੋਂਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਬੁੱਢਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਦਾਸ ਹੀ ਮਰ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ।’

30 If then I go back to your servant, my father, without the boy, because his life and the boy's life are one,ਹੁਣ, ਜ਼ਰਾ ਸੋਚੋ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਛੋਟੇ ਭਰਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਘਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਇਹ ਮੁੰਡਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਲਈ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਹੈ।

31 When he sees that the boy is not with us, he will come to his death, and our father's grey head will go down in sorrow to the underworld.ਸਾਡਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਇਸ ਮੁੰਡੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾ ਦੇਖਕੇ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਦੋਸ਼ ਸਾਡਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੋਗੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਾਂਗ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚਾ ਦਿਆਂਗੇ।

32 For I made myself responsible for the boy to my father, saying, If I do not give him safely back to you, let mine be the sin for ever.“ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਮੁੰਡੇ ਦੀ ਜੁੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਸੀ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ‘ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਨਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਮਰ ਭਰ ਲਈ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਠਹਿਰਾ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ।’

33 So now let me be my lord's servant here in place of the boy, and let him go back with his brothers.ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਸ ਮੁੰਡੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਜਾਣ ਦਿਉ। ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਠਹਿਰਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬਣਾਂਗਾ।

34 For how may I go back to my father without the boy, and see the evil which will come on my father?ਜੇ ਇਹ ਮੁੰਡਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਗੱਲੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।”
