ਪਰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਚਿਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਨਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਏ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।’
