Genesis 24 - WEB (Punjabi)

1 Abraham was old, and well stricken in age. Yahweh had blessed Abraham in all things.ਇਸਹਾਕ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਪਤਨੀ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਬੜੀ ਲੰਮੀ ਉਮਰ ਜੀਵਿਆ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਰ ਕੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

2 Abraham said to his servant, the elder of his house, who ruled over all that he had, "Please put your hand under my thigh.ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪੁਰਾਣਾ ਨੌਕਰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਚੀਜ਼ ਦਾ ਨਿਗਾਹਬਾਨ ਸੀ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੌਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਸੱਦ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੇਰੀ ਲੱਤ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖ।

3 I will make you swear by Yahweh, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that you shall not take a wife for my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I live.ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰੇਂ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਅਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਚਨ ਦੇ, ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਕਨਾਨੀ ਕੁੜੀ ਨੂੰ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਰਹਿ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ, ਨਹੀਂ ਲਵੇਂਗਾ।

4 But you shall go to my country, and to my relatives, and take a wife for my son Isaac."ਮੇਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਜਾ। ਉੱਥੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਪਤਨੀ ਲੱਭ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਥੇ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆ।”

5 The servant said to him, "What if the woman isn't willing to follow me to this land? Must I bring your son again to the land you came from?"ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਔਰਤ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਲੈ ਜਾਵਾਂ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਏ ਸੀ?”

6 Abraham said to him, "Beware that you don't bring my son there again.ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਨਹੀਂ! ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਥੇ ਨਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਾਵੀਂ।

7 Yahweh, the God of heaven, who took me from my father's house, and from the land of my birth, who spoke to me, and who swore to me, saying, 'I will give this land to your seed{or, offspring}.' He will send his angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਤ੍ਰਭੂਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਬਚਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਨਵੀਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਅਗੇਰੇ ਭੇਜੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਲਈ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਚੁਣ ਸੱਕੇਂ।

8 If the woman isn't willing to follow you, then you shall be clear from this my oath. Only you shall not bring my son there again."ਪਰ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਕੁੜੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਬਚਨ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ। ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਾਣਾ।”

9 The servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and swore to him concerning this matter.ਇਸ ਲਈ ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੀ ਲੱਤ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ।

10 The servant took ten camels, of his master's camels, and departed, having all goodly things of his master's in his hand. He arose, and went to Mesopotamia, to the city of Nahor.ਖੋਜ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦੇ ਦਸ ਊਠ ਲਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ। ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਸੁਗਾਤਾਂ ਲੈ ਲਇਆਂ। ਨੌਕਰ ਮਸੋਪੋਤਾਮੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਹੋਰ ਦੇ ਨਗਰ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ।

11 He made the camels kneel down outside the city by the well of water at the time of evening, the time that women go out to draw water.ਨੌਕਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਬਾਹਰਲੇ ਖੂਹ ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਿਆ। ਸ਼ਾਮ ਦਾ ਵੇਲਾ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰਨ ਲਈ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਈਆਂ ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਊਠਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੋਡਣੀਆਂ ਲਵਾ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ।

12 He said, "Yahweh, the God of my master Abraham, please give me success this day, and show kindness to my master Abraham.ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ। ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਲਈ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਤਲਾਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਦੇ। ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਇੰਨੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ।

13 Behold, I am standing by the spring of water. The daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water.ਮੈਂ ਇੱਥੇ, ਖੂਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਖਲੋਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੁਟਿਆਰਾਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰਨ ਲਈ ਆ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

14 Let it happen, that the young lady to whom I will say, 'Please let down your pitcher, that I may drink.' She will say, 'Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink.' Let the same be she who you have appointed for your servant Isaac. Thereby will I know that you have shown kindness to my master."ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਖਾਸ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਦਾ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ, ਇਹ ਜਾਨਣ ਲਈ, ਕਿ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਮੁਟਿਆਰ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਲਈ ਢੁਕਵੀ ਹੈ। ਖਾਸ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਮੈਂ ਕੁੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਾਂਗਾ, ‘ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਘੜਾ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਉਤਾਰ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀ ਸੱਕਾਂ।’ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਢੁਕਵੀਂ ਮੁਟਿਆਰ ਹੈ ਜੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਪੀ ਲੈ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਊਠਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਪਿਲਾਵਾਂਗੀ।’ ਜੇ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੋਈ, ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਸਾਬਤ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੁਟਿਆਰ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਲਈ ਢੁਕਵੀਂ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।”

15 It happened, before he had done speaking, that behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel the son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham's brother, with her pitcher on her shoulder.ਵਹੁਟੀ ਲੱਭ ਗਈ ਤਾਂ, ਨੌਕਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰ ਹਟਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਮੁਟਿਆਰ ਖੂਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਈ। ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਬਥੂਏਲ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਸੀ। ਬਥੂਏਲ ਮਿਲਕਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਹੋਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਨਾਹੋਰ, ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ ਸੀ। ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੋਢੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਘੜਾ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਖੂਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਈ।

16 The young lady was very beautiful to look at, a virgin, neither had any man known her. She went down to the spring, filled her pitcher, and came up.ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਕੁਆਰੀ; ਅਤੇ ਅਛੋਹ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਖੂਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਘੜਾ ਭਰ ਲਿਆ।

17 The servant ran to meet her, and said, "Please give me a drink, a little water from your pitcher."ਫ਼ੇਰ ਨੌਕਰ ਉਸ ਵੱਲ ਭੱਜ ਕੇ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘੜੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਥੋੜਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਪਿਲਾ।”

18 She said, "Drink, my lord." She hurried, and let down her pitcher on her hand, and gave him drink.ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਨੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੋਢੇ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਘੜਾ ਨੀਵਾਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਪਿਲਾਇਆ। ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪੀਓ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਾਨ ਜੀ।”

19 When she had done giving him drink, she said, "I will also draw for your camels, until they have done drinking."ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਪਿਲਾ ਹਟੀ, ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਊਠਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਕੁਝ ਪਾਣੀ ਪਿਲਾ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹਾਂ।”

20 She hurried, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again to the well to draw, and drew for all his camels.ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘੜੇ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਊਠਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੀਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਖੂਹ ਵੱਲ ਹੋਰ ਪਾਣੀ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਦੌੜੀ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਉੱਠਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਪਿਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

21 The man looked steadfastly at her, holding his peace, to know whether Yahweh had made his journey prosperous or not.ਨੌਕਰ ਚੁੱਪ-ਚਾਪ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਉਹ ਪੱਕਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਜਵਾਬ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।

22 It happened, as the camels had done drinking, that the man took a golden ring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold,ਜਦੋਂ ਊਠ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀ ਹਟੇ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਨੂੰ 1/5 ਔਂਸ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੀ ਅੰਗੂਠੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਬਾਜੂਬੰਦ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੋਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਦਾ ਵਜ਼ਨ 4 ਔਂਸ ਸੀ।

23 and said, "Whose daughter are you? Please tell me. Is there room in your father's house for us to lodge in?"ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ? ਅਤੇ ਕੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਟੋਲੇ ਲਈ ਸੌਣ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਹੈ?”

24 She said to him, "I am the daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah, whom she bore to Nahor."ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਬਥੂਏਲ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਿਲਕਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਹੋਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈ।”

25 She said moreover to him, "We have both straw and provender enough, and room to lodge in."ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਅਤੇ ਹਾਂ, ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਊਠਾਂ ਲਈ ਤੂੜੀ ਵੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸੌਣ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਵੀ।”

26 The man bowed his head, and worshiped Yahweh.ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਝੁਕ ਕੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।

27 He said, "Blessed be Yahweh, the God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken his loving kindness and his truth toward my master. As for me, Yahweh has led me in the way to the house of my master's relatives."ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਧੰਨ ਹੈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਦਯਾਲੂ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।”

28 The young lady ran, and told her mother's house about these words.ਫ਼ੇਰ ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਦੌੜ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੱਸੀਆਂ।

29 Rebekah had a brother, and his name was Laban. Laban ran out to the man, to the spring.ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਭਰਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਲਾਬਾਨ ਸੀ। ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੱਸੀਆਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਜਦੋਂ ਲਾਬਾਨ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਾਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਾਜ਼ੂਬੰਦ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੰਦਰੀ ਵੇਖੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਆਖਿਆ, ਸੁਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਖੂਹ ਵੱਲ ਭੱਜ ਗਿਆ। ਉੱਥੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਖੂਹ ਕੋਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਊਠਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਖਲੋਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।

30 It happened, when he saw the ring, and the bracelets on his sister's hands, and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, "This is what the man said to me," that he came to the man. Behold, he was standing by the camels at the spring.

31 He said, "Come in, you blessed of Yahweh. Why do you stand outside? For I have prepared the house, and room for the camels."ਲਾਬਾਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਾਨ ਜੀ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਅਸੀਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਥੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਖਲੋਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸੌਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਕਮਰਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਊਠਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਥਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।”

32 The man came into the house, and he unloaded the camels. He gave straw and provender for the camels, and water to wash his feet and the feet of the men who were with him.ਇਸ ਲਈ, ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦਾ ਨੌਕਰ ਘਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਲਾਬਾਨ ਨੇ ਊਠਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਭਾਰ ਲਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੜੀ ਪਾਈ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਨ, ਪੈਰ ਧੋਣ ਲਈ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

33 Food was set before him to eat. But he said, "I will not eat until I have told my message." He said, "Speak on."ਫ਼ੇਰ ਲਾਬਾਨ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਭੋਜਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਪਰ ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਖਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਓਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੀਕ ਕਿ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਉਣ ਦਾ ਮਕਸਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੱਸ ਦਿੰਦਾ।” ਇਸ ਲਈ ਲਾਬਾਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਸਾਨੂੰ, ਦੱਸੋ।”

34 He said, "I am Abraham's servant.ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਲਈ ਸੌਦੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦਾ ਨੌਕਰ ਹਾਂ।

35 Yahweh has blessed my master greatly. He has become great. He has given him flocks and herds, silver and gold, men-servants and maid-servants, and camels and donkeys.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਇੱਕ ਮਹਾਨ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਇੱਜੜ ਅਤੇ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਵੱਗ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਕੋਲ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਸੋਨਾ-ਚਾਂਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਕਰ ਹਨ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਕੋਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਊਠ ਅਤੇ ਖੋਤੇ ਹਨ।

36 Sarah, my master's wife, bore a son to my master when she was old. He has given all that he has to him.ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਾਰਾਹ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਬੁੱਢੀ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਦਾ ਉਸ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਰਿਸ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।

37 My master made me swear, saying, 'You shall not take a wife for my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I live,ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਬਚਨ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ‘ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਨਾਨੀ ਕੁੜੀ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇਵੀਂ। ਅਸੀਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਹਾਂ ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਨਾਨੀ ਕੁੜੀ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰੇ।

38 but you shall go to my father's house, and to my relatives, and take a wife for my son.'ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਜਾਣ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਦੇ। ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਲਈ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਲੱਭ ਕੇ ਲਿਆ।’

39 I said to my master, 'What if the woman will not follow me?'ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਉਹ ਔਰਤ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਥਾਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਨਾ ਆਵੇ।’

40 He said to me, 'Yahweh, before whom I walk, will send his angel with you, and prosper your way. You shall take a wife for my son of my relatives, and of my father's house.ਪਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤੇਰੀ ਖਾਤਰ ਆਪਣ ਦੂਤ ਭੇਜੇਗਾ। ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਖੁਦ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦਰਮਿਆਨੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਲਈ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਲੱਭੇਂਗਾ।

41 Then will you be clear from my oath, when you come to my relatives. If they don't give her to you, you shall be clear from my oath.'ਪਰ ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਜਾਵੇਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਲਈ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਦੇਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਣ, ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ।’

42 I came this day to the spring, and said, 'Yahweh, the God of my master Abraham, if now you do prosper my way which I go.“ਅੱਜ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਖੂਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ, ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਕਰ।

43 Behold, I am standing by the spring of water. Let it happen, that the maiden who comes forth to draw, to whom I will say, Give me, I pray you, a little water from your pitcher to drink.ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਖੂਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਖਲੋਤਾ ਰਹਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਈ ਕਿਸੇ ਮੁਟਿਆਰ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਾਂਗਾ, “ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘੜੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਥੋੜਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਪਿਲਾ।”

44 She will tell me, "Drink, and I will also draw for your camels." Let the same be the woman whom Yahweh has appointed for my master's son.'ਢੁਕਵੀਂ ਮੁਟਿਆਰ ਇੱਕ ਖਾਸ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਜਵਾਬ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ। ਉਹ ਆਖੇਗੀ, “ਇਹ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਓ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਊਠਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਪਿਲਾ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹਾਂ।” ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਇਹੀ ਉਹ ਮੁਟਿਆਰ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਲਈ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ।’

45 Before I had done speaking in my heart, behold, Rebekah came forth with her pitcher on her shoulder. She went down to the spring, and drew. I said to her, 'Please let me drink.'“ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਖੂਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰਨ ਲਈ ਆ ਗਈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੋਢੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਘੜਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਖੂਹ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰਨ ਲਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਪਾਣੀ ਮੰਗਿਆ।

46 She hurried and let down her pitcher from her shoulder, and said, 'Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink.' So I drank, and she made the camels drink also.ਉਸ ਨੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੋਢੇ ਤੋਂ ਘੜਾ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਲਾਹਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਥੋੜਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਪਿਲਾਇਆ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਇਹ ਪੀ ਲਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਥੋੜਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਊਠਾਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਵੀ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।’ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਊਠਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਪਿਲਾਇਆ।

47 I asked her, and said, 'Whose daughter are you?' She said, 'The daughter of Bethuel, Nahor's son, whom Milcah bare to him.' I put the ring on her nose, and the bracelets on her hands.ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, ‘ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ?’ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ‘ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਮਿਲਕਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਹੋਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਥੂਏਲ ਹੈ।’ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਗੂਠੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਜ਼ੂਬੰਦ ਦਿੱਤੇ।

48 I bowed my head, and worshiped Yahweh, and blessed Yahweh, the God of my master Abraham, who had led me in the right way to take my master's brother's daughter for his son.ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੀਸ ਝੁਕਾ ਕੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ। ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਦੀ ਪੋਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਵਹੁਟੀ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ।

49 Now if you will deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me. If not, tell me. That I may turn to the right hand, or to the left."ਹੁਣ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੋ, ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਧੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਕ ਦਿਉਂਗੇ? ਜਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਧੀ ਦਾ ਸਾਕ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ? ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਦਿਉ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਜਾਣ ਲਵਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ?”

50 Then Laban and Bethuel answered, "The thing proceeds from Yahweh. We can't speak to you bad or good.ਫ਼ੇਰ ਲਾਬਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਥੂਏਲ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਅਸੀਂ ਦੇਖ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲਣ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੇ।

51 Behold, Rebekah is before you, take her, and go, and let her be your master's son's wife, as Yahweh has spoken."ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਅਤੇ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਜਾ। ਇਸਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਿਕ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਾਲ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਾ। ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।”

52 It happened that when Abraham's servant heard their words, he bowed himself down to the earth to Yahweh.ਜਦੋਂ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦੇ ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਝੁਕ ਕੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਜਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ।

53 The servant brought forth jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and clothing, and gave them to Rebekah. He gave also to her brother and to her mother precious things.ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਲਈ ਲਿਆਂਦੀਆਂ ਸੁਗਾਤਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਨੇ-ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ ਗਹਿਣੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮਹਿੰਗੀਆਂ ਸੁਗਾਤਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ।

54 They ate and drank, he and the men who were with him, and stayed all night. They rose up in the morning, and he said, "Send me away to my master."ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਪਾਣੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਰਾਤ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰੀ। ਦੂਸਰੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਤੜਕੇ ਉੱਠੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੁਣ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਮਾਲਿਕ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।”

55 Her brother and her mother said, "Let the young lady stay with us a few days, at least ten. After that she will go."ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਦੇਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਰਹਿਣ ਦਿਉ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਸ ਦਿਨ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਰਹਿਣ ਦਿਉ। ਇਸਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਉਹ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਦੀ ਹੈ।”

56 He said to them, "Don't hinder me, seeing Yahweh has prospered my way. Send me away that I may go to my master."ਪਰ ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਨਾ ਕਰਵਾਉ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੋਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਜਾਣ ਦਿਉ।”

57 They said, "We will call the young lady, and ask her."ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਅਸੀਂ ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕੀ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।”

58 They called Rebekah, and said to her, "Will you go with this man?" She said, "I will go."ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੁਣੇ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈਂ?” ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੀ।”

59 They sent away Rebekah, their sister, with her nurse, Abraham's servant, and his men.ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦੇ ਨੌਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਦੀ ਦਾਈ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗਈ।

60 They blessed Rebekah, and said to her, "Our sister, may you be the mother of thousands of ten thousands, and let your seed possess the gate of those who hate them."ਜਦੋਂ ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਸਾਡੀਏ ਭੈਣੇ, ਤੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਬਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਦੇਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਕਰ ਲੈਣ।”

61 Rebekah arose with her ladies. They rode on the camels, and followed the man. The servant took Rebekah, and went his way.ਫ਼ੇਰ ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਦਾਈ ਊਠਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਗਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਚੱਲ ਪਈਆਂ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਘਰ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਦੇ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਵਾਨਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।

62 Isaac came from the way of Beer Lahai Roi. For he lived in the land of the South.ਇਸਹਾਕ ਨੇ ਬਏਰ ਲਹੀ ਰੋਈ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਨੇਗੇਵ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।

63 Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the evening. He lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, there were camels coming.ਸ਼ਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਸੈਰ ਲਈ ਨਿਕਲ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸਹਾਕ ਨੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਮਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਰੋਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਊਠਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਦੇਖਿਆ।

64 Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she dismounted from the camel.ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਵੱਲ ਦੇਖਿਆ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਊਠ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਗਈ।

65 She said to the servant, "Who is the man who is walking in the field to meet us?" The servant said, "It is my master." She took her veil, and covered herself.ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨੌਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਘੁੰਮ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ?” ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹੈ।” ਇਸ ਲਈ ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਪਰਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੱਜ ਲਿਆ।

66 The servant told Isaac all the things that he had done.ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜੋ ਵਾਪਰੀਆਂ ਸਨ।

67 Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife. He loved her. Isaac was comforted after his mother's death.ਫ਼ੇਰ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਕੁੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ। ਰਿਬਕਾਹ ਉਸੇ ਦਿਨ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਬਣ ਗਈ। ਇਸਹਾਕ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਹਾਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਹਾਂਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ।
