Genesis 2 - YLT (Punjabi)

1 And the heavens and the earth are completed, and all their host;ਸੱਤਵਾਂ ਦਿਨ-ਅਰਾਮ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚਲੀ ਹਰ ਸ਼ੈਅ ਦੀ ਸਾਜਨਾ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਹੋ ਗਈ।

2 and God completeth by the seventh day His work which He hath made, and ceaseth by the seventh day from all His work which He hath made.ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਮ, ਜੋ ਉਹ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸੱਤਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਅਰਾਮ ਕੀਤਾ।

3 And God blesseth the seventh day, and sanctifieth it, for in it He hath ceased from all His work which God had prepared for making.ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸੱਤਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਦਿਨ ਬਣਾਇਆ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅਰਾਮ ਲਿਆ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੀ ਸਾਜਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਵੇਲੇ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।

4 These `are' births of the heavens and of the earth in their being prepared, in the day of Jehovah God's making earth and heavens;ਮਨੁੱਖ਼ਤਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਇਹ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜ੍ਹ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਵੇਲੇ ਵਾਪਰੀਆਂ।

5 and no shrub of the field is yet in the earth, and no herb of the field yet sprouteth, for Jehovah God hath not rained upon the earth, and a man there is not to serve the ground,ਇਹ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੌਦੇ ਉੱਗਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ। ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਉੱਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਹਾਲੇ ਮੀਂਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਪੌਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਦੇਖ-ਭਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।

6 and a mist goeth up from the earth, and hath watered the whole face of the ground.ਇਸਦੀ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ, ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਧੁੰਦ ਆਈ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਨੂੰ ਗਿੱਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ।

7 And Jehovah God formeth the man -- dust from the ground, and breatheth into his nostrils breath of life, and the man becometh a living creature.ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਦਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਜਿਆ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਦਮ ਦੇ ਨੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਸਾਹ ਫ਼ੂਕਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਆਦਮ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਜੀਵ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ।

8 And Jehovah God planteth a garden in Eden, at the east, and He setteth there the man whom He hath formed;ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਦਨ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਥਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਬਾਗ਼ ਲਾਇਆ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਆਦਮ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਬਾਗ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

9 and Jehovah God causeth to sprout from the ground every tree desirable for appearance, and good for food, and the tree of life in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਰੁੱਖ ਉਗਾਏ: ਹਰ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਰੁੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਉਹ ਰੁੱਖ ਜੋ ਭੋਜਨ ਲਈ ਚੰਗਾ ਸੀ। ਬਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਰੁੱਖ ਲਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਰੁੱਖ ਵੀ ਲਾਇਆ ਜੋ ਗਿਆਨ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ, ਕੀ ਚੰਗਾ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਕੀ ਮਾੜਾ।

10 And a river is going out from Eden to water the garden, and from thence it is parted, and hath become four chief `rivers';ਅਦਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਨਦੀ ਵਗਦੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਬਾਗ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਂਜਦੀ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਨਦੀ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਚਾਰ ਸ਼ਾਖਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਟ ਗਈ।

11 the name of the one `is' Pison, it `is' that which is surrounding the whole land of the Havilah where the gold `is',ਪਹਿਲੀ ਨਦੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪੀਸੋਨ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਨਦੀ ਹਵੀਲਾਹ, ਦੇ ਸਮੁੱਚੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਵਗਦੀ ਸੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸੋਨਾ ਹੈ।

12 and the gold of that land `is' good, there `is' the bdolach and the shoham stone;(ਹਵੀਲਾਹ ਵਿੱਚਲਾ ਸੋਨਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੋਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨੀ ਵੀ ਹਨ।)

13 and the name of the second river `is' Gibon, it `is' that which is surrounding the whole land of Cush;ਦੂਸਰੀ ਨਦੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਗੀਹੋਨ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਨਦੀ ਸਮੁੱਚੇ ਕੂਸ਼ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਵਗਦੀ ਸੀ।

14 and the name of the third river `is' Hiddekel, it `is' that which is going east of Asshur; and the fourth river is Phrat.ਤੀਸਰੀ ਨਦੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹਿੱਦਕਾਲ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਨਦੀ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਗਦੀ ਸੀ। ਚੌਥੀ ਨਦੀ ਫ਼ਰਾਤ ਸੀ।

15 And Jehovah God taketh the man, and causeth him to rest in the garden of Eden, to serve it, and to keep it.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਦਮ ਨੂੰ ਅਦਨ ਦੇ ਬਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਗ਼ ਦੀ ਦੇਖ-ਭਾਲ ਲਈ ਰੱਖਿਆ।

16 And Jehovah God layeth a charge on the man, saying, `Of every tree of the garden eating thou dost eat;ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਦਮ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੂੰ ਬਾਗ ਵਿੱਚਲੇ ਹਰ ਰੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਫ਼ਲ ਖਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ।

17 and of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou dost not eat of it, for in the day of thine eating of it -- dying thou dost die.'ਪਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਰੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਫ਼ਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਦਿੰਦਾ, ਕਿ ਕੀ ਚੰਗਾ ਤੇ ਕੀ ਬੁਰਾ। ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਰੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਫ਼ਲ ਖਾਵੇਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ।”

18 And Jehovah God saith, `Not good for the man to be alone, I do make to him an helper -- as his counterpart.'ਪਹਿਲੀ ਔਰਤ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਦਮ ਲਈ ਇੱਕਲਿਆਂ ਹੋਣਾ ਚੰਗੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਸਾਜਾਂਗਾ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।”

19 And Jehovah God formeth from the ground every beast of the field, and every fowl of the heavens, and bringeth in unto the man, to see what he doth call it; and whatever the man calleth a living creature, that `is' its name.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਪੰਛੀ ਦੀ ਸਾਜਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਆਦਮੀ ਕੋਲ ਇਹ ਦੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਲਿਆਂਦੇ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਬੁਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

20 And the man calleth names to all the cattle, and to fowl of the heavens, and to every beast of the field; and to man hath not been found an helper -- as his counterpart.ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ ਪਾਲਤੂ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ, ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵੀ ਧਰੇ। ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਛੀ ਵੇਖੇ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭਿਆ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਜੱਚਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ।

21 And Jehovah God causeth a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he sleepeth, and He taketh one of his ribs, and closeth up flesh in its stead.ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਗਹਿਰੀ ਨੀਂਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਆਦਮੀ ਸੁੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਪੱਸਲੀ ਲਈ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਦੀ ਚਮੜੀ ਦੀ ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੱਸਲੀ ਕੱਢੀ ਸੀ।

22 And Jehovah God buildeth up the rib which He hath taken out of the man into a woman, and bringeth her in unto the man;ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਪੱਸਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਚੋਂ ਕੱਢੀ ਸੀ ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਸਾਜੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਦਮ ਕੋਲ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ।

23 and the man saith, `This `is' the `proper' step! bone of my bone, and flesh of my flesh!' for this it is called Woman, for from a man hath this been taken;ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਖਿਰਕਾਰ! ਮੇਰੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਇੱਕ ਇਨਸਾਨ! ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਮੇਰੀਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਹਨ। ਉਸਦਾ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਤੋਂ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਦਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ‘ਔਰਤ’ ਸਦਾਈ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।”

24 therefore doth a man leave his father and his mother, and hath cleaved unto his wife, and they have become one flesh.ਇਹੀ ਕਾਰਣ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਆਦਮੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ, ਦੋ ਜਣੇ ਇੱਕ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

25 And they are both of them naked, the man and his wife, and they are not ashamed of themselves.ਆਦਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੰਗੇ ਸਨ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ।
