Genesis 14
18 ਮਲਕਿ-ਸਿਦਕ ਸਾਲੇਮ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ, ਮਲਕਿ-ਸਿਦਕ ਵੀ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਗਿਆ। ਮਲਕਿ-ਸਿਦਕ ਸਰਬ ਉੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਜਾਜਕ ਸੀ। ਮਲਕਿ-ਸਿਦਕ ਰੋਟੀ ਤੇ ਮੈਅ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਇਆ।
19 ਮਲਕਿ-ਸਿਦਕ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਅਬਰਾਮ, ਸਰਬ ਉੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦੇਵੇ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਜਿਆ।
20 ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਰਬ ਉੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ।” ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਮਲਕਿ-ਸਿਦਕ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਹਰ ਚੀਜ਼ ਦਾ ਦਸਵੰਧ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
21 ਸਦੂਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਰੱਖ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਮੇਰੇ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਵਾਪਸ ਕਰ ਦੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਫ਼ੜ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਗਏ ਸੀ।”
22 ਪਰ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਸਦੂਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਰਬ ਉੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਸਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਜਿਆ
23 ਮੈਂ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੈ-ਕੋਈ ਧਾਗਾ ਜਾਂ ਤਸਮਾ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ। ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਖੇਂ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਅਮੀਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ।’
18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.
19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:
20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
21 And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.
22 And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the Lord, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,
23 That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:

20 ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਰਬ ਉੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ।” ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਮਲਕਿ-ਸਿਦਕ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਹਰ ਚੀਜ਼ ਦਾ ਦਸਵੰਧ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

21 ਸਦੂਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਰੱਖ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਮੇਰੇ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਵਾਪਸ ਕਰ ਦੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਫ਼ੜ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਗਏ ਸੀ।”
And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.
22 ਪਰ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਸਦੂਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਰਬ ਉੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਸਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਜਿਆ
And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the Lord, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,
23 ਮੈਂ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੈ-ਕੋਈ ਧਾਗਾ ਜਾਂ ਤਸਮਾ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ। ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਖੇਂ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਅਮੀਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ।’
That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:
