Genesis 13 - ASV (Punjabi)

1 And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the South.ਅਬਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਕਨਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਪਸੀ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ, ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਅਬਰਾਮ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਮਲਕੀਅਤ ਸਮੇਤ ਨੇਗੇਵ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੌਲੇ ਲੰਘਿਆ। ਲੂਤ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ।

2 And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ, ਅਬਰਾਮ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਮੀਰ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਾਸ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਨਾ-ਚਾਂਦੀ ਸੀ।

3 And he went on his journeys from the South even to Beth-el, unto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Beth-el and Ai,ਅਬਰਾਮ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨੇਗੇਵ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੈਤ-ਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਬੈਤ-ਏਲ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਈ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਓਹੀ ਥਾਂ ਸੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਡੇਰਾ ਲਾਇਆ ਸੀ।

4 unto the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of Jehovah.ਇਹ ਓਹੀ ਥਾਂ ਸੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।

5 And Lot also, who went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents.ਅਬਰਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਲੂਤ ਦਾ ਵਿੱਛੜਨਾ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਲੂਤ ਵੀ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਲੂਤ ਕੋਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਅਤੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਸਨ।

6 And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.ਅਬਰਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਲੂਤ ਕੋਲ ਇੰਨੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਾ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਸੀ।

7 And there was a strife between the herdsmen of Abram's cattle and the herdsmen of Lot's cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelt then in the land.ਕਨਾਨੀ ਲੋਕ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਿਜ਼ੀ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਸੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਅਬਰਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਲੂਤ ਦੇ ਅਯਾਲੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੜਾਈ ਝਗੜਾ ਹੋਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ।

8 And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdsmen and thy herdsmen; for we are brethren.ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਲੂਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੇਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਕੋਈ ਝਗੜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਤੇਰੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਝਗੜਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਤੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਭਰਾ ਹਾਂ।

9 Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me. If `thou wilt take' the left hand, then I will go to the right. Or if `thou take' the right hand, then I will go to the left.ਸਾਨੂੰ ਵੱਖ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਵੀ ਥਾਂ ਚਾਹੇਂ ਚੁਣ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਖੱਬੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਖੱਬੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ।”

10 And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the Plain of the Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before Jehovah destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, like the garden of Jehovah, like the land of Egypt, as thou goest unto Zoar.ਲੂਤ ਨੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਮਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਰਦਨ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ ਦੇਖੀ। ਲੂਤ ਨੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਓੱਥੇ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਸੀ। (ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਦੂਮ ਅਤੇ ਅਮੂਰਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੈ।) ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਯਰਦਨ ਵਾਦੀ ਸੋਆਰ ਤੱਕ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਾਗ ਵਾਂਗ ਫੈਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਚੰਗੀ ਸੀ।

11 So Lot chose him all the Plain of the Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.ਇਸ ਲਈ ਲੂਤ ਨੇ ਯਰਦਨ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕੀਤੀ। ਦੋਵੇਂ ਆਦਮੀ ਵੱਖ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਲੂਤ ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲ ਚੱਲ ਪਿਆ।

12 Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelt in the cities of the Plain, and moved his tent as far as Sodom.ਅਬਰਾਮ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਠਹਿਰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਲੂਤ ਵਾਦੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਲੱਗਾ। ਲੂਤ ਦੂਰ ਦੱਖਣ ਵੱਲ ਸਦੂਮ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਓੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਡੇਰਾ ਲਾ ਲਿਆ।

13 Now the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners against Jehovah exceedingly.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਸਦੂਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਦ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਸਨ।

14 And Jehovah said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art, northward and southward and eastward and westward:ਲੂਤ ਦੇ ਚੱਲੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਪਣੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੇਖ, ਉੱਤਰ ਵੱਲ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਖਣ ਵੱਲ ਦੇਖ, ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਛਮ ਵੱਲ ਦੇਖ।

15 for all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਤੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ, ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਇਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਹੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ।

16 And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: So that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then may thy seed also be numbered.ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੰਨਾ ਵਾਧਾ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਜਿੰਨੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਧੂੜ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਲੋਕੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਣ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵੀ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਣਗੇ।

17 Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for unto thee will I give it.ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਾਓ। ਆਪਣੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਲੰਬਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਚੌੜਾਈ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਚੱਲੋ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।”

18 And Abram moved his tent, and came and dwelt by the oaks of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and built there an altar unto Jehovah.ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਤੰਬੂ ਪੁੱਟ ਲਿਆ। ਉਹ ਮਮਰੇ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇੜੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ। ਇਹ ਥਾਂ ਹਬਰੋਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੀ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉਸਾਰੀ।
