Genesis 12 - WEB (Punjabi)

1 Now Yahweh said to Abram, "Get out of your country, and from your relatives, and from your father's house, to the land that I will show you.ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਪਣਾ ਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦੇ। ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਟੱਬਰ ਛੱਡ ਦੇ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਜਾਹ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦਿਖਾਵਾਂਗਾ।

2 I will make of you a great nation. I will bless you, and make your name great. You will be a blessing.ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਮਹਾਨ ਕੌਮ ਉਸਾਰਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਲੋਕੀਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਵਰਤਣਗੇ।

3 I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you. In you will all of the families of the earth be blessed."ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦੇਣਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਾਪ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਰਾਪ ਦੇਣਗੇ। ਮੈਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।”

4 So Abram went, as Yahweh had spoken to him. Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed out of Haran.ਅਬਰਾਮ ਕਨਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਹਾਰਾਨ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਲੂਤ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਅਬਰਾਮ 75 ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸੀ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹਾਰਾਨ ਛੱਡਿਆ।

5 Abram took Sarai his wife, Lot his brother's son, all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls who they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan. Into the land of Canaan they came.ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਸਾਰਈ, ਆਪਣੇ ਭਤੀਜੇ ਲੂਤ, ਸਾਰੇ ਗੁਲਾਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹਾਰਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਸਮੂਹ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵੱਲ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ।

6 Abram passed through the land to the place of Shechem, to the oak of Moreh. The Canaanite was then in the land.ਅਬਰਾਮ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੰਘਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸ਼ਕਮ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੀਕ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੋਹਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਕੋਲ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਉਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਨਾਨੀ ਲੋਕ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ।

7 Yahweh appeared to Abram, and said, "I will give this land to your seed{or, offspring}." He built an altar there to Yahweh, who appeared to him.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।” ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਲਈ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਬਣਾਈ।

8 He left from there to the mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Ai on the east. There he built an altar to Yahweh, and called on the name of Yahweh.ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਬੈਤਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲ ਪਹਾੜੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਓੱਥੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਤੰਬੂ ਲਾ ਲਿਆ। ਬੈਤਏਲ ਪੱਛਮ ਵੱਲ ਅਤੇ ਆਈ ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਥਾਵੇਂ, ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।

9 Abram traveled, going on still toward the South.ਇਸਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ, ਅਬਰਾਮ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰੀ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਤੇ ਨਿਕਲ ਪਿਆ। ਉਹ ਨੇਜੇਵ ਵੱਲ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ।

10 There was a famine in the land. Abram went down into Egypt to live as a foreigner there, for the famine was sore in the land.ਅਬਰਾਮ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਧਰਤੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ਕ ਸੀ। ਬਾਰਿਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਉਗਾਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ।

11 It happened, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said to Sarai his wife, "See now, I know that you are a beautiful woman to look on.ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਸਾਰਈ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮਿਸਰ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਤੋਂ ਰਤਾ ਕੁ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਸਾਰਈ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਔਰਤ ਹੈਂ।

12 It will happen, when the Egyptians will see you, that they will say, 'This is his wife.' They will kill me, but they will save you alive.ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਣਗੇ। ਉਹ ਆਖਣਗੇ, ‘ਇਹ ਔਰਤ ਇਸਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਹੈ।’ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਂਦੀ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੇਣਗੇ।

13 Please say that you are my sister, that it may be well with me for your sake, and that my soul may live because of you."ਇਸ ਲਈ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਖੀਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਭੈਣ ਹੈਂ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਮੈਂਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਾਰਨਗੇ। ਉਹ ਇਹ ਸੋਚਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਰਾ ਹਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਚੰਗਾ ਸਲੂਕ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਬਚਾ ਸੱਕੇਂਗੀ।”

14 It happened that when Abram had come into Egypt, the Egyptians saw that the woman was very beautiful.ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਾਰਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਔਰਤ ਸੀ।

15 The princes of Pharaoh saw her, and praised her to Pharaoh; and the woman was taken into Pharaoh's house.ਕੁਝ ਮਿਸਰੀ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਲਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਫਿਰਊਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਔਰਤ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਆਗੂ ਸਾਰਈ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਰਊਨ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਲੈ ਗਏ।

16 He dealt well with Abram for her sake. He had sheep, and oxen, and male donkeys, and men-servants, and maid-servants, and female donkeys, and camels.ਫਿਰਊਨ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਤੇ ਦਯਾਲੂ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਸਦਾ ਖਿਆਲ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਸਾਰਈ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ ਸੀ। ਫਿਰਊਨ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਡਾਂ, ਡੰਗਰ ਅਤੇ ਖੋਤੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਸ, ਦਾਸੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਊਠ ਵੀ ਮਿਲੇ।

17 Yahweh plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Abram's wife.ਫਿਰਊਨ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਫਿਰਊਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਬੁਰੀਆਂ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਭੇਜੀਆਂ।

18 Pharaoh called Abram, and said, "What is this that you have done to me? Why didn't you tell me that she was your wife?ਇਸ ਲਈ ਫਿਰਊਨ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ। ਫਿਰਊਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਬੁਰਾ ਸਲੂਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ!। ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਾਰਈ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਸੀ! ਕਿਉਂ?

19 Why did you say, 'She is my sister,' so that I took her to be my wife? Now therefore, see your wife, take her, and go your way."ਤੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ‘ਇਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਭੈਣ ਹੈ।’ ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਕਿਉਂ ਆਖੀ? ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਬਣ ਸੱਕੇ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਵਾਪਸ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਚੱਲਾ ਜਾਹ!”

20 Pharaoh gave men charge concerning him: and they brought him on the way, and his wife, and all that he had.ਫ਼ੇਰ ਫਿਰਊਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਦੇਣ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਬਰਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਵੀ ਲੈ ਗਏ।
