Genesis 11
27 ਤਾਰਹ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਇਹ ਤਾਰਹ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਹੈ। ਤਾਰਹ ਅਬਰਾਮ, ਨਾਹੋਰ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਰਾਨ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ। ਹਾਰਾਨ ਲੂਤ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ।
28 ਹਾਰਾਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੱਦੀ ਕਸਬੇ, ਕਸਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਊਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਰਿਆ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਤਾਰਹ ਹਾਲੇ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ।
29 ਅਬਰਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਹੋਰ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਅਬਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਾਰਈ ਸੀ। ਨਾਹੋਰ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਿਲਕਾਹ ਸੀ। ਮਿਲਕਾਹ ਹਾਰਾਨ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਸੀ। ਹਾਰਾਨ ਮਿਲਕਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਿਸੱਕਾਹ ਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੀ।
30 ਸਾਰਈ ਦੇ ਔਲਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਬਾਂਝ ਸੀ।
31 ਤਾਰਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕਸਦੀਮ ਦੇ ਊਰ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਗਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਨਾਨ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਈ। ਤਾਰਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਬਰਾਮ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪੋਤੇ ਲੂਤ (ਹਾਰਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ) ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਨੂੰਹ ਸਾਰਈ (ਅਬਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ) ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਾਰਾਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੱਕ ਸਫਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਓੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਟਿਕ ਜਾਣ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ।
27 Now these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran begat Lot.
28 And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the Chaldees.
29 And Abram and Nahor took them wives: the name of Abram’s wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahor’s wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah.
30 But Sarai was barren; she had no child.
31 And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son’s son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram’s wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.
