Genesis 1:14
ਚੌਥਾ ਦਿਨ-ਸੂਰਜ ਚੰਨ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਰੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਰਾਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਖ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀਆਂ ਹੋਣ। ਇਹ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀਆਂ ਪਰਬਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਰਾਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਲਈ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਹੋਣ।

| firmament the in | בִּרְקִ֣יעַ | birqîaʿ | beer-KEE-ah |
| of the heaven | הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם | haššāmayim | ha-sha-MA-yeem |
| to divide | לְהַבְדִּ֕יל | lĕhabdîl | leh-hahv-DEEL |
| בֵּ֥ין | bên | bane | |
| day the | הַיּ֖וֹם | hayyôm | HA-yome |
| from | וּבֵ֣ין | ûbên | oo-VANE |
| the night; | הַלָּ֑יְלָה | hallāyĕlâ | ha-LA-yeh-la |
| and let them be | וְהָי֤וּ | wĕhāyû | veh-ha-YOO |
| signs, for | לְאֹתֹת֙ | lĕʾōtōt | leh-oh-TOTE |
| and for seasons, | וּלְמ֣וֹעֲדִ֔ים | ûlĕmôʿădîm | oo-leh-MOH-uh-DEEM |
| and for days, | וּלְיָמִ֖ים | ûlĕyāmîm | oo-leh-ya-MEEM |
| and years: | וְשָׁנִֽים׃ | wĕšānîm | veh-sha-NEEM |
