Exodus 8:16
ਜੂਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹਾਰੂਨ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੋਟੀ ਚੁੱਕ ਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਖ, ਅਤੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਜੂਆਂ ਬਣ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।”

| Stretch out | נְטֵ֣ה | nĕṭē | neh-TAY |
| אֶֽת | ʾet | et | |
| thy rod, | מַטְּךָ֔ | maṭṭĕkā | ma-teh-HA |
| and smite | וְהַ֖ךְ | wĕhak | veh-HAHK |
| אֶת | ʾet | et | |
| the dust | עֲפַ֣ר | ʿăpar | uh-FAHR |
| of the land, | הָאָ֑רֶץ | hāʾāreṣ | ha-AH-rets |
