1 Yahweh said to Moses, "Chisel two stone tablets like the first: and I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke.ਪੱਥਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਤਖਤੀਆਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪੱਥਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਹਿਲੀਆਂ ਤਖਤੀਆਂ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਹੋਰ ਤਖਤੀਆਂ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਟੁੱਟ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ। ਮੈਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਖਤੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਹੀ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਲਿਖਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਹਿਲੀਆਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਤਖਤੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।

2 Be ready by the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself there to me on the top of the mountain.ਕਲ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਨਈ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਆ ਜਾਵੀਂ। ਉੱਥੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਦੀ ਚੋਟੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਨਮੁੱਖ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੀਂ।

3 No one shall come up with you; neither let anyone be seen throughout all the mountain; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mountain."ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਉਣ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਪਰਬਤ ਦੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਥਾ ਉੱਤੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੱਗਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੱਜੜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪਰਬਤ ਦੇ ਹੇਠ ਘਾਹ ਚਰਨ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।”

4 He chiseled two tablets of stone like the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up to Mount Sinai, as Yahweh had commanded him, and took in his hand two stone tablets.ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਖਤੀਆਂ ਹੋਰ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਗਲੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਸੁਵਖਤੇ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਸੀਨਈ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਗਿਆ। ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਹਰ ਗੱਲ ਉਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਮੂਸਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਤਖਤੀਆਂ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ।

5 Yahweh descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of Yahweh.ਜਦੋਂ ਮੂਸਾ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੀ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਇੱਕ ਬੱਦਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਆਇਆ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਓੱਥੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਖਲੋ ਗਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ (ਯਹੋਵਾਹ) ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪੁਕਾਰਿਆ।

6 Yahweh passed by before him, and proclaimed, "Yahweh! Yahweh, a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth,ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੇ ਅਗਿਓ ਲੰਘਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਾਹਵੇਹ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਦਿਆਲੂ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਰਪਾਲੂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਛੇਤੀ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮਹਾਨ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੈ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।

7 keeping loving kindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and disobedience and sin; and that will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, and on the children's children, on the third and on the fourth generation."ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਪੀੜੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਲਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੋਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੁੱਲਦਾ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤ, ਪੋਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਪੜਪੋਤੇ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਲਈ, ਦੁੱਖ ਭੋਗਣਗੇ।”

8 Moses hurried and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped.ਤਾਂ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਧਰਤੀ ਵੱਲ ਝੁਕ ਕੇ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ,

9 He said, "If now I have found favor in your sight, Lord, please let the Lord go in the midst of us; although this is a stiff-necked people; pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance."“ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ, ਤਾਂ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲੋ। ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਜ਼ਿੱਦੀ ਲੋਕ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਮੰਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿਉ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਕਰ ਲਵੋ।”

10 He said, "Behold, I make a covenant: before all your people I will do marvels, such as have not been worked in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among which you are shall see the work of Yahweh; for it is an awesome thing that I do with you.ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਹੈਰਾਨੀ ਭਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਕੌਮ ਲਈ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ। ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਦੇਖਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਬਹੁਤ ਮਹਾਨ ਹਾਂ। ਲੋਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੈਰਾਨੀ ਭਰੇ ਕਾਰਨਾਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਣਗੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਦੇ ਲਈ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।

11 Observe that which I command you this day. Behold, I drive out before you the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨੋ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਅੱਜ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਚੱਲੇ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਅਮੋਰੀਆਂ, ਕਨਾਨੀਆਂ, ਹਿੱਤੀਆਂ, ਫ਼ਰਿੱਜ਼ੀਆਂ, ਹਿੱਵੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਯਬੂਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਧੱਕ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।

12 Be careful, lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you are going, lest it be for a snare in the midst of you:ਹੋਸ਼ਿਆਰ ਰਹਿਣਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਨਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ। ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ, ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਸਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਹੋਣਗੇ।

13 but you shall break down their altars, and dash in pieces their pillars, and you shall cut down their Asherim;ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿਉ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜ ਦਿਉ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਹ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੀਰ ਕੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿਉ।

14 for you shall worship no other god: for Yahweh, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਹੋਰ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਮੈਂ ਯਾਹਵੇਹ ਕਾਨਾਹ ਹਾਂ-ਈਰਖਾਲੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ। ਇਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਏਲ ਕਾਨਾਹ ਹਾਂ-ਈਰਖਾਲੂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ।

15 Don't make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, lest they play the prostitute after their gods, and sacrifice to their gods, and one call you and you eat of his sacrifice;“ਹੋਸ਼ਿਆਰ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ। ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੋਂ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਦਾਵਤ ਵੀ ਦੇਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ।

16 and you take of their daughters to your sons, and their daughters play the prostitute after their gods, and make your sons play the prostitute after their gods.ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਚੁਣ ਲਵੋਂ। ਉਹ ਧੀਆਂ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰ ਸੱਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

17 You shall make no cast idols for yourselves.“ਕੋਈ ਬੁੱਤ ਨਾ ਬਣਾਉ।

18 "You shall keep the feast of unleavened bread. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib; for in the month Abib you came out from Egypt.“ਪਤੀਰੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਦੇ ਪਰਬ ਦਾ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਮਨਾਉ। ਸੱਤ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ ਉਹੀ ਪਤੀਰੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਓ, ਜਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਅਜਿਹਾ ਉਸ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕਰੋ ਜਿਸਦੀ ਮੈਂ ਚੋਣ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਅਬੀਬ ਦਾ ਮਹੀਨਾ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹੀ ਉਹ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਏ ਸੀ।

19 All that opens the womb is mine; and all your cattle that is male, the firstborn of cow and sheep.“ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਔਰਤ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲੋਠਾ ਨਰ ਬੱਚਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਪਹਿਲੋਠੇ ਨਰ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਵੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਜਾਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਨ।

20 The firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb: and if you will not redeem it, then you shall break its neck. All the firstborn of your sons you shall redeem. No one shall appear before me empty.ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਪਹਿਲੋਠੇ ਜੰਮੇ ਖੋਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੇਲਾ ਦੇਕੇ ਖਰੀਦ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ। ਪਰ ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਖੋਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਲੇਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਰੀਦਦੇ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਖੋਤੇ ਦੀ ਗਰਦਨ ਤੋੜ ਦੇਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਹਿਲੋਠੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਵਪਸ ਖਰੀਦੋਂ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਬਿਨਾ ਸੁਗਾਤ ਦੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।

21 Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest: in plowing time and in harvest you shall rest.“ਤੁਸੀਂ ਛੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ। ਪਰ ਸੱਤਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਰਾਮ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਸਲਾਂ ਬੀਜਣ ਅਤੇ ਵਢਣ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵੀ ਅਰਾਮ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

22 You shall observe the feast of weeks with the first fruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of harvest at the year's end.“ਅੱਠਵਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਪਰਬ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਾਉ। ਇਸ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਲਈ ਕਣਕ ਦੀ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਾਣੇ ਵਰਤੋਂ। ਅਤੇ ਪਤਝੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਢੀ ਦਾ ਪਰਬ ਮਨਾਓ।

23 Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Lord Yahweh, the God of Israel.“ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਸਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਾਰੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਅਤੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੋਲ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਜਾਣ।

24 For I will drive out nations before you and enlarge your borders; neither shall any man desire your land when you go up to appear before Yahweh, your God, three times in the year.“ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਜਾਵੋਂਗੇ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਧੱਕ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਸਰਹੱਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੈਲਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ-ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਧਰਤੀ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਾਰੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਵੋਂਗੇ। ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਖੋਹਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ।

25 "You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the Passover be left to the morning.“ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਲੀ ਦਾ ਖੂਨ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੋਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਖਮੀਰ ਨਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਓ। “ਪਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਦਾ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਮਾਸ ਅਗਲੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਣਾ।

26 You shall bring the first of the first fruits of your ground to the house of Yahweh your God. You shall not boil a young goat in its mother's milk."“ਆਪਣੀ ਵਾਢੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਹਿਲੀਆਂ ਫ਼ਸਲਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਵੋ। ਉਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਉ। “ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਬੱਕਰੀ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਪਕਾਉ।”

27 Yahweh said to Moses, "Write you these words: for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel."ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਲਿਖ ਲੈ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਖੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉਹ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।”

28 He was there with Yahweh forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread, nor drank water. He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.ਮੂਸਾ ਉੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ 40 ਦਿਨ ਅਤੇ 40 ਰਾਤਾਂ ਠਹਿਰਿਆ। ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਭੋਜਨ ਖਾਧਾ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਤਾ। ਅਤੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਤਖਤੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ (ਦਸ ਹੁਕਮ) ਲਿਖੇ।

29 It happened, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mountain, that Moses didn't know that the skin of his face shone by reason of his speaking with him.ਮੂਸਾ ਦਾ ਚਮਕਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੂਸਾ ਸੀਨਈ ਪਰਬਤ ਤੋਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਉਤਰ ਆਇਆ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਤਖਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮਾ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਮੂਸਾ ਦਾ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਚਮਕ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਪਰ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।

30 When Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come near him.ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਦਾ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੇਜ ਨਾਲ ਚਮਕ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਦੇ ਸਨ।

31 Moses called to them, and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned to him; and Moses spoke to them.ਪਰ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਗੂ ਮੂਸਾ ਕੋਲ ਗਏ। ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ।

32 Afterward all the children of Israel came near, and he gave them all of the commandments that Yahweh had spoken with him on Mount Sinai.ਇਸਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਆ ਗਏ। ਅਤੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੀਨਈ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਸਨ।

33 When Moses was done speaking with them, he put a veil on his face.ਜਦੋਂ ਮੂਸਾ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਹਟਿਆ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਰਦਾ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ।

34 But when Moses went in before Yahweh to speak with him, he took the veil off, until he came out; and he came out, and spoke to the children of Israel that which he was commanded.ਜਿਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਵੀ ਮੂਸਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਗਿਆ, ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਪਰਦਾ ਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੂਸਾ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ।

35 The children of Israel saw Moses' face, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses put the veil on his face again, until he went in to speak with him.ਲੋਕ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਮੂਸਾ ਦਾ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਤੇਜ ਨਾਲ ਚਮਕਦਾ ਸੀ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੂਸਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਢੱਕ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਮੂਸਾ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਆਪਣਾ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਢੱਕੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰੀ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ।
