Exodus 29:33
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਉਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਾਸਚਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਜਕ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਹੁਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਖਾਣੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਅਜਨਬੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਣੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹਨ।

| בָּהֶ֔ם | bāhem | ba-HEM | |
| sanctify to and | לְמַלֵּ֥א | lĕmallēʾ | leh-ma-LAY |
| them: but a stranger | אֶת | ʾet | et |
| not shall | יָדָ֖ם | yādām | ya-DAHM |
| eat | לְקַדֵּ֣שׁ | lĕqaddēš | leh-ka-DAYSH |
| thereof, because | אֹתָ֑ם | ʾōtām | oh-TAHM |
| they | וְזָ֥ר | wĕzār | veh-ZAHR |
| are holy. | לֹֽא | lōʾ | loh |
| יֹאכַ֖ל | yōʾkal | yoh-HAHL | |
| כִּי | kî | kee | |
| קֹ֥דֶשׁ | qōdeš | KOH-desh | |
