Exodus 17:1
ਚੱਟਾਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਸੀਨ ਮਾਰੂਥਲ ਤੋਂ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਤੇ ਚਲੇ। ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਇੱਕ ਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਸਰੀ ਥਾਂ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹੇ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਫ਼ੀਦੀਮ ਤੱਕ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਓੱਥੇ ਡੇਰਾ ਲਾ ਲਿਆ। ਓੱਥੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੀਣ ਲਈ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।
