Psalm 49:7
ਕੋਈ ਐਸਾ ਇਨਸਾਨੀ ਦੋਸਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਸੱਕੇ। ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇ ਸੱਕਦੇ।

ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੀਮਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਯਿਸੂ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸਮੂਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਹੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੇ ਆਇਆ।
1 Peter 1:18
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਅਤੀਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵਿਆਰਥ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਿਤਾ ਰਹੇ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਜੀਵਨ ਢੰਗ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਿੱਖੇ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਢੰਗ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਖਰੀਦਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਸੋਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੋ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
