ਕਾਲੇਬ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਮਿਲੀ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਗਿਲਗਾਲ ਵਿਖੇ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਕੋਲ ਗਏ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਕਨਿੱਜ਼ੀ ਯਫ਼ੁੰਨਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਕਾਲੇਬ ਸੀ। ਕਾਲੇਬ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਯਾਦ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਕਾਦੇਸ਼ ਬਰਨੇਆ ਵਿਖੇ ਆਖੀਆਂ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਮੂਸਾ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।
