Numbers 15:32
ਇੱਕ ਬੰਦਾ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਮਾਰੂਥਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ ਬਾਲਣ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਲੱਕੜ ਲੱਭੀ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਲੱਕੜਾਂ ਇਕੱਠੀਆਂ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਦਿਨ ਸਬਤ ਦਾ ਸੀ। ਕੁਝ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ।

“‘ਸਬਤ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਖਾਸ ਦਿਹਾੜਾ ਬਣਾਉ। ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਸਬਤ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਹੋਰ ਦਿਨ ਵਾਂਗ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਛੇਕ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
