ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜੇ ਤੂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ, ਮਿਸਰੀ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣਨਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਹਾਨ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਦੱਸ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲੈ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਨੇਕ-ਨਾਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
Ezekiel 20:14

Exodus 32:11

Joshua 7:8
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੀ ਕਸਮ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ! ਇੱਥੇ ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਆਖਣ ਲਈ ਹੋਰ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਤਮ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
