Job 2:12
ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਦੋਸਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਅੱਯੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰੋ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਅੱਯੂਬ ਹੀ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਇੰਨਾ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ! ਉਹ ਉੱਚੀ-ਉੱਚੀ ਰੋਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਪਾੜ ਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਘਟ੍ਟਾ ਪਾਉਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ ਇਹ ਦਰਸਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਦੁੱਖ੍ਖੀ ਤੇ ਉਦਾਸ ਸਨ।

Job 1:20
ਜਦੋਂ ਅੱਯੂਬ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਪਾੜ ਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਰ ਮੁਨਾ ਲਿਆ ਇਹ ਦੱਸਣ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਉਦਾਸ ਤੇ ਬੇਚੈਨ ਸੀ ਫੇਰ ਅੱਯੂਬ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਿਆ ਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਿਆ।
Revelation 18:19
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਪਾਈ। ਉਹ ਰੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਦਾਸ ਹੋਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਖਿਆ: ‘ਭਿਆਨਕ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਇਸ ਮਹਾਂ ਨਗਰੀ ਲਈ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਨ ਉਸਦੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਨਾਲ ਅਮੀਰ ਬਣ ਗਏ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਘੰਟੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।

ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਬਰਫ਼ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਚਿੱਟੇ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਦੁੱਧ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਚਿੱਟੇ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਦਲ ਮੂੰਗਿਆਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਸੂਹੇ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦਾਢ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੀਲਮ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਸਨ।

ਮੇਰੇ ਸੱਕੇ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਗਏ ਨੇ। ਮੇਰੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲ ਗਏ ਨੇ।
Esther 4:1
ਮਾਰਦਕਈ ਦੀ ਅਸਤਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਫਰਿਆਦ ਮਾਰਦਕਈ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੁਕਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਮਾਰਦਕਈ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਸਤਰ ਪਾੜ ਲਈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਦੇ ਵਸਤਰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਸੁਆਹ ਪਾ ਲਈ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਉੱਚੀ-ਉੱਚੀ ਰੋਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ।
2 Samuel 13:36
ਜਦੋਂ ਯੋਨਾਦਾਬ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੀ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਰਾਜ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਉੱਥੇ ਆਣ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ। ਉਹ ਉੱਚੀ-ਉੱਚੀ ਰੋ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਦਾਊਦ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਫ਼ਸਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਰੋਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਬੜਾ ਰੋਏ-ਪਿੱਟੇ।

Ruth 1:19

Judges 2:4
ਜਦੋਂ ਦੂਤ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਹਟਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕ ਉੱਚੀ-ਉੱਚੀ ਰੋਣ ਲੱਗੇ।
