Jeremiah 39:4
ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਿਆ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੂਰ ਭੱਜ ਗਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡਿਆ। ਉਹ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਬਾਗ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਬਾਹਰ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਦੋ ਦੀਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਸੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਮਾਰੂਬਲ ਵੱਲ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ।

ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਕੁਝ ਕੀਤਾ: ਜਿਹੜੀ ਦੀਵਾਰ ਟੁੱਟ ਗਈ ਸੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੁੜ ਤੋਂ ਟੁੱਟੀ ਦੀਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਵਾਇਆ। ਦੀਵਾਰਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਬੁਰਜ ਬਣਵਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਵਾਰ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਦੀਵਾਰ ਬਣਵਾਈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਮਿੱਲੋ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਕਿਆਂ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਸਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਢਾਲਾਂ ਬਣਵਾਈਆਂ।
Ezekiel 12:12

Jeremiah 52:7
ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਧਾਵਾ ਬੋਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਫ਼ੌਜੀ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ। ਉਹ ਰਾਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ’ਚੋਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਗਏ। ਉਹ ਦੋ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰਲੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲ ਗਏ। ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਬਾਗ਼ ਨੇੜੇ ਸੀ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਫ਼ੌਜੀ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ। ਉਹ ਮਾਰੂਬਲ ਵੱਲ ਦੌੜ ਗਏ।
Jeremiah 38:18
ਪਰ ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਤਮ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜ ਦੇਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਬਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਕੇਂਗਾ।’”

ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰੱਖ, ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਪਰਤ ਆਓਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਚ ਜਾਓਗੇ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਤਾਕਤ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਤ ਹੋਵੋਂਗੇ।” ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ! ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਖਦੇ ਹੋ, “ਸਾਨੂੰ ਅਗਾਂਹ ਵੱਲ ਭੱਜ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਘੋੜੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਨੇ!” ਇਹ ਠੀਕ ਹੈ।
2 Kings 25:4
ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੇ ਅਖੀਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਉਹ ਦੀਵਾਰ ਢਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਸ ਰਾਤ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਭੱਜ ਨਿਕਲੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਭੱਜਣ ਲਈ ਦੁਹਰੀਆਂ ਦੀਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਜੋ ਗੁਪਤ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਸੀ ਉਸਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਹ ਰਾਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਾਗ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਸੀ। ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਉਜਾੜ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਭੱਜ ਕੇ ਬਚ ਨਿਕਲੇ।
Deuteronomy 32:24
ਉਹ ਭੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਭਿਆਨਕ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਗਿਆਂ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਭੇਜ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਹਿਰੀਲੇ ਸੱਪ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡੱਸਣਗੇ।
Deuteronomy 28:25
“ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਉਣ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਰਸਤੇ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਵੋਂਗੇ, ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਸੱਤ ਵੱਖੋ-ਵੱਖਰੇ ਰਸਤਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੀ ਭੱਜ ਜਾਵੋਂਗੇ। ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਘਟਨਾਵਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਪਰਨਗੀਆਂ, ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਗੀਆਂ।
Leviticus 26:36
ਬਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਤਮ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਹਾਰ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਹਰ ਚੀਜ਼ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਨਗੇ। ਹਵਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਡਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਪੱਤੇ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਰਾ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ। ਉਹ ਭੱਜਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਪੈਣਗੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਪਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਭਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
Leviticus 26:17
ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਦੇਣਗੇ। ਉਹ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਭੱਜ ਜਾਵੋਂਗੇ ਜਦ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
