ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਵਾਪਰਨਗੀਆਂ, ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦੇ। ਮੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਉਸ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੀਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਕਿਸੇ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਲਈ ਆਖ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਆਖੇਗਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਇਹ ਬੰਦ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਕਦਾ।”

ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਵਾਪਰਨਗੀਆਂ, ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦੇ। ਮੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਉਸ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੀਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਕਿਸੇ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਲਈ ਆਖ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਆਖੇਗਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਇਹ ਬੰਦ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਕਦਾ।”
