Isaiah 28:4
ਉਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਸਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਦੇ ਚੌਗਿਰਦ ਅਮੀਰ ਵਾਦੀ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ “ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਫ਼ੁੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਤਾਜ” ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਮਰ ਰਹੇ ਪੌਦੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਗਰਮੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਹਿਲੀਆਂ ਅੰਜੀਰਾਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੰਜੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਚੁੱਕ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਖਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਦੀ ਕਾਰਣ ਮੀਕਾਹ ਦੀ ਬੇਚੈਨੀ ਮੈਂ ਪੀੜਿਤ ਹਾਂ, ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਵਰਗਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਫ਼ਲ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਵੱਢਿਆ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪਹਿਲੇ ਅੰਜੀਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਸਾਂ।
Isaiah 28:1
ਉੱਤਰੀ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਵੱਲ ਦੇਖੋ! ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰਾਬੀ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਗੁਮਾਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਨੇ। ਉਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਹੈ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਸਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਿਸਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਅਮੀਰ ਵਾਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਫ਼ੁੱਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਤਾਜ ਵਰਗਾ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਨੇ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਮੈਅ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਰਾਬੀ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਅਤੇ ਇਹ “ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਤਾਜ” ਬਸ ਮਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਪੌਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੇ ਤਾਰੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਇੰਝ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਏ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਹੰਜ਼ੀਰ ਦਾ ਬੂਟਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਹਵਾ ਵੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੱਚੇ ਫ਼ਲ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Hosea 13:15
ਭਾਵੇਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇੱਕ ਜ਼ੋਰਦਾਰ ਪੂਰਬੀ ਹਵਾ ਆਵੇਗੀ-ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਹਵਾ ਉਜਾੜ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਵੇਗੀ, ਤਦ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਖੂਹ ਸੁੱਕ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਝਰਨਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਸੁੱਕ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਹਵਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਖਜਾਨੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਉਡਾ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
Hosea 13:1
ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਬਰਬਾਦੀ ਦਾ ਖੁਦ ਜਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਹੈ “ਅਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੜਾ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਦਰਜਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਜਦੋਂ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਂਬਾ ਛਿੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ। ਪਰ ਅਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਨੇ ਬਆਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਵੱਡਾ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
Hosea 9:16
ਅਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਜੜ ਸੁਕਦੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਹੋਰ ਬੱਚੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਣਗੇ ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਉਹ ਜਣ ਵੀ ਲੈਣ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਜਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ।
Hosea 9:10
ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਬੁੱਤ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਾਰਣ ਨਾਸ ਹੋਣਾ “ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਿਆ, ਉਸ ਵਕਤ, ਉਹ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਜੇ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਬਹਾਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਜੀਰ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਫ਼ਲਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਫੇਰ ਉਹ ਬਆਲ-ਪਉਰ ਵੱਲ ਜਾਕੇ ਬਦਲ ਗਏ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੜੇ ਫ਼ਲਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਆਪਣੇ ਦ੍ਰੱਖਤ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਢ ਦੇਣਾ ਪਿਆ। ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ (ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ) ਵਰਗੇ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
Hosea 6:4
ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾ ਲੋਕ “ਓ ਅਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਕਰਾਂ? ਓ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਕਰਾਂ? ਤੇਰੀ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਦੀ ਧੁੰਦ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੈ ਤੇਰੀ ਵਫਾਦਾਰੀ ਉਸ ਤਰੇਲ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਸਾਰ ਹੀ ਅਲੋਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Psalm 73:19
ਅਚਾਨਕ ਹੀ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਆ ਸੱਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਗੁਮਾਨੀ ਲੋਕ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰ ਸੱਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
