Genesis 32:25
ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਰਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੀ ਲੱਤ ਛੋਹੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੀ ਲੱਤ ਦਾ ਜੋੜ ਹਿੱਲ ਗਿਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਘੋਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।

Genesis 32:32
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਪੱਟ ਦੇ ਜੋੜ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਠੇ ਦਾ ਮਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹੀ ਉਹ ਪੱਠਾ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।

Genesis 19:22
ਪਰ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਭੱਜ ਕੇ ਚੱਲਾ ਜਾ। ਮੈਂ ਓਨੀ ਦੇਰ ਤੱਕ ਸਦੂਮ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਜਿੰਨੀ ਦੇਰ ਤੱਕ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਕਸਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਹੋਕੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ।” (ਉਸ ਕਸਬੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੋਆਰ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਛੋਟਾ ਕਸਬਾ ਹੈ।)
