Genesis 20:16
ਅਬੀਮਲਕ ਨੇ ਸਾਰਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਭਰਾ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ 1,000 ਸਿੱਕੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ। ਮੈਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਇਹ ਦਰਸਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਫ਼ਸੋਸ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਦੇਖ ਲਵੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਠੀਕ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।”

Genesis 26:11
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਬੀਮਲਕ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਿਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਕਿਸੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਜਾਂ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੰਗ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।”
