Exodus 12:11
“ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਭੋਜਨ ਕਰੋ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹੋਵੋਂ। ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਜੁੱਤੀ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਟੀ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕਾਹਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਭੋਜਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਸਾਹ ਦਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਹੈ-ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਦਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ।

Exodus 12:27
ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਖੋਂਗੇ, ‘ਇਹ ਪਸਾਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਆਦਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਂ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੰਘ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮਿਸਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ।’” ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਲੋਕ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

Exodus 12:43
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਤੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪਸਾਹ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਨੇਮ ਹਨ; ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਨੇ ਪਸਾਹ ਦਾ ਭੋਜਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਲੇਲੇ ਲਿਆਵੋ। ਪਸਾਹ ਲਈ ਲੇਲੇ ਜ਼ਿਬਾਹ ਕਰੋ।
Exodus 12:13
ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਖੂਨ, ਖਾਸ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਖੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਾਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ। ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਭੈੜੀ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗੇਗੀ।
