ਅਸਤਰ ਨੇ ਮੁੜ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਕੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਰੋ ਪਈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਰਿਆਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਮੰਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇ ਜੋ ਹਾਮਾਨ ਅਗਾਗੀ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਬਾਣਾਈ ਸੀ।

ਅਸਤਰ ਨੇ ਮੁੜ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਕੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਰੋ ਪਈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਰਿਆਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਮੰਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇ ਜੋ ਹਾਮਾਨ ਅਗਾਗੀ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਬਾਣਾਈ ਸੀ।
