ਮਾਰਦਕਈ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਚੋ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨੀਲੀ ਚਿੱਟੀ ਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਮੁਕਟ ਅਤੇ ਕਤਾਨੀ ਤੇ ਬੈਂਗਣੀ ਰੰਗ ਦਾ ਚੋਗਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਵਸਤਰ ਧਾਰਕੇ ਉਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲੋਁ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ ਤੇ ਸ਼ੂਸ਼ਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਖਾਸ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਬੜੇ ਉਮਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਬੜੇ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਏ।

ਫੇਰ ਹਾਮਾਨ ਪੋਸ਼ਾਕ ਅਤੇ ਘੋੜਾ ਲਿਅਇਆ। ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਾਰਦਕਈ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕ ਪੁਵਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਘੋੜੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਿਠਾਇਆ ਫੇਰ ਉਹ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ, “ਇਹ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸਤਿਕਾਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।”

ਅਸਤਰ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਤੀਜੇ ਦਿਨ, ਅਸਤਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਪਹਿਰਾਵਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰਲੇ ਵਿਹੜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੜੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਇਹ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਦੀਵਾਨ ਖਾਨੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਸੀ। ਰਾਜਾ ਦੀਵਾਨ ਖਾਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਵੱਲ ਮੂੰਹ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਤਖਤ ਤੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
