Esther 6:4
ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਹਾਮਾਨ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਦੇ ਵਿਹੜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਜੇ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੀ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਖਣ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਸੂਲੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ, ਮਾਰਦਕਈ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਥੇ ਟੰਗਣ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੇਵੇ। ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਕਦਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣੀ। ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਵਿਹੜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੌਣ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ?”

ਹਾਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਜ਼ਰਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਿੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਝਾਵ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ, “75 ਫੁੱਟ ਉੱਚੀ ਇੱਕ ਝੂਲਦੀ ਚੌਂਕੀ ਬਣਵਾਈ ਜਾਵੇ ਤੇ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਤੂੰ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਕੇ ਕਹੀਁ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮਾਰਦਕਈ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਤੇ ਸੂਲੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਦੇਵੇੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਤੂੰ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ-ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਦਾਅਵਤ ਤੇ ਚੱਲਾ ਜਾਵੀਂ।” ਹਾਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸੁਝਾਵ ਪਸੰਦ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਸੂਲੀ ਬਨਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿ

“ਮਾਰਦਕਈ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰਲੇ ਵਿਹੜੇ ਦੇ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਣ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਬਿਨ-ਬੁਲਾਇਆਂ ਜਾਵੇ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਮਰਦ ਹੋਵੇ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਔਰਤ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕੋ ਹੀ ਹੁਕਮ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨੋ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ। ਪਰ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਲਈ ਜਿਸ ਖਾਤਰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੁਨਿਹਰੀ ਰਾਜ-ਦੰਡ ਫੈਲਾਵੇ-ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੀ ਜਾਨ ਬਚ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। 30 ਦਿਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਅੰਦਰ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਦਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ”

ਅਸਤਰ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਤੀਜੇ ਦਿਨ, ਅਸਤਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਪਹਿਰਾਵਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰਲੇ ਵਿਹੜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੜੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਇਹ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਦੀਵਾਨ ਖਾਨੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਸੀ। ਰਾਜਾ ਦੀਵਾਨ ਖਾਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਵੱਲ ਮੂੰਹ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਤਖਤ ਤੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
Ecclesiastes 9:10

ਫਿਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖੁਸਰਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਨੇ ਹਰਬੋਨਾਹ ਨੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇੱਕ 75 ਫੁੱਟ ਉੱਚੀ ਝੂਲਦੀ ਚੌਂਕੀ ਹਾਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਮਰਦਕਈ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਲੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੈ ਮਾਰਦਜਈ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਕੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਬਚਾਈ ਸੀ।” ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇਸੇ ਸੂਲੀ ਤੇ ਹਾਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਟੰਗ ਦੇਵੋ।”
Esther 3:8
ਤਦ ਹਾਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਅਹਸ਼ਵੇਰੋਸ਼ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਕੋਲ ਆ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੇ ਪਾਤਸਾਹ ਅਹਸ਼ਵੇਰੋਸ਼, ਤੇਰੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੂਬਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਇੱਕ ਉੱਮਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਿਲਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਫੈਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਰੀਤਾਂ ਬਾਕੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਖਰੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਕਨੂੰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਸੋ ਇਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਲਈ ਲਾਭਵਂਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਕਰਨ।
