ਸੁਪਨੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਬਾਦ, ਰਾਜਾ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਬਾਬਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਦੀ ਛੱਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਟਹਿਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਛੱਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੀ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਬਾਬਲ ਵੱਲ ਦੇਖੋ! ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਮਹਾਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਹਿਲ ਹੈ! ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਮਹਾਨ ਮਹਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਸੀ। ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦਿਖਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਮਹਾਨ ਹਾਂ!”

ਇਹ ਆਤਮੇ ਉਹੀ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨੂਹ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਨੂਹ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਬਣਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਬਰ ਨਾਲ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਥੋੜੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਲ ਅੱਠ ਸਨ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਬਚਾਏ ਜਾ ਸੱਕੇ।

2 Peter 3:9
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਹ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਢਿੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਜਿਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਬਰ ਤੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਲੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ। ਉਹ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲ ਦੇਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਨਾ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਵੇ।

2 Peter 3:15
ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖੋ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਸਬਰ ਬਚਣ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮੌਕਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਭਰਾ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਦੱਸੀ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਨਾਲ ਚਿੱਠੀ ਲਿਖੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਝ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ।

ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਦਿਲ ਬਦਲਣ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਨਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਣ ਲਈ ਸਮਾਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਬਦਲਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ।
