ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਗ੍ਹਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਲੋਕ ਮਾਰੂਥਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਦਰਿਆ ਪਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਦ ਤੀਕ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਖਬਰ ਨਾ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਵੇ।”

ਅਹੀਥੋਫ਼ਲ ਦੀ ਦਾਊਦ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸਲਾਹ ਅਹੀਥੋਫ਼ਲ ਨੇ ਅਬਸ਼ਾਲੋਮ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਦੇਵੋ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਹੁਣ 12,000 ਮਨੁੱਖ ਚੁਣ ਲਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਜ ਹੀ ਰਾਤ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰਾਂ।
