ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਨਿਕਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ, ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਅਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ: “ਇਹ ਥਾਂ 70 ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਤੀਕ ਬੰਜਰ ਤੇ ਉਜਾੜ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਕੰਮ ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਆਰਾਮ ਭੋਗਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਜਿੰਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਲੋਕ ਸਬਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਮ ਨਾ ਭੋਗਣ।”

Jeremiah 29:10

Leviticus 26:34

Jeremiah 26:6
ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨੋਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚਲੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੀਲੋਹ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਤੰਬੂ ਵਰਗਾ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੋਚਣਗੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਨ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕਰਨਗੇ।’”

Leviticus 25:4
ਪਰ ਸੱਤਵੇਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਾਮ ਕਰਨ ਦਿਉਂਗੇ। ਇਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਆਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਖਾਸ ਸਮਾਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੇਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਬੀਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੀਜਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਜਾਂ ਅੰਗੂਰ ਦੇ ਬਾਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੌਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਛਾਗਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।
Zechariah 1:4
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ‘ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਆਖਦਾ: ਆਪਣੇ ਜਿਉਣ ਦੇ ਬਦ-ਢੰਗ ਤੋਂ ਹਟ ਜਾਵੋ। ਬਦ ਕਰਤੂਤਾਂ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿਓ।’ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ।” ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖੀਆਂ।
Jeremiah 27:12
ਮੈਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਇਹੀ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਮੈਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, “ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਗਰਦਨ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਜੂਲੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਪਾ ਦੇਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਜੀਵੇਗਾ।
Jeremiah 25:9
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਾਂਗਾ” ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੈ-“ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਾਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਸੱਦ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਵੀ ਸੱਦ ਬੁਲਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਧਰਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਲਈ ਸਖਣੇ ਮਾਰੂਬਲ ਵਾਂਗ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਲੋਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਣਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਦੇਖਕੇ ਸੀਟੀਆਂ ਮਾਰਨਗੇ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਬੁਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
