ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਅਤੇ ਏਨਦੋਰ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਸਮੂਏਲ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੜਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਮੂਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਰਾਮਾਹ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਫ਼ਨਾਇਆ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਭੂਤ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੱਸਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੱਢਿਆ ਸੀ।
