Isaiah 11:10
ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ, ਉੱਥੇ ਯੱਸੀ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਖਾਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਝੰਡੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ “ਝੰਡਾ” ਸਮੂਹ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦਰਸਾਏਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਇੱਕਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕੌਮਾਂ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਪੁੱਛਣਗੀਆਂ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਥਾਨ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਤਾਪ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

ਸ਼ਬਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਊਦ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਸੇ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਬਿਕਰੀ ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਬਾ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਹਿਯਾਤ ਕਿਸਮ ਦਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤੁਰ੍ਹੀ ਵਜਾਕੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਦਾਊਦ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਡਾ ਕੋਈ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਸਾਡੀ ਵੰਡ ਯੱਸੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ! ਚਲੋ ਸਭ ਆਪੋ-ਆਪਣੇ ਤੰਬੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲੀਏ!”

ਪਰ ਨਾਬਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਮੀਨਗੀ ਨਾਲ ਪੇਸ਼ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਦਾਊਦ ਹੈ ਕੌਣ? ਕੌਣ ਯੱਸੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ? ਅੱਜ ਕੱਲ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਬੜੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਕਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਨੱਸ ਗਏ ਹਨ! ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਪਾਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਟੀ ਹੈ।

ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਅਹੀਮਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਯੱਸੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਗੋਂਦਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਗੁੰਦੀਆਂ? ਤੂੰ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਉਹ ਦਾਊਦ ਠੀਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।”

ਤਦ ਦੋਏਗਾ ਅਦੋਮੀ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਦੇ ਟਹਿਲੂਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਸੀ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਯੱਸੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਨੋਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਦਾਊਦ ਅਹੀਟੂਬ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਹੀਮਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ।
1 Samuel 20:30
ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਯੋਨਾਥਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਬੜਾ ਖਫ਼ਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯੋਨਾਥਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹੇ ਅਵੱਗਿਆਕਾਰੀ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਔਰਤ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਤੂੰ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ। ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਪੱਖ ਪੂਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਊਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੀ ਦਾਗ ਹੈਂ।

ਪਰ ਅਗਲੇ ਹੀ ਦਿਨ ਜੋ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਦਿਨ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੀ ਕੁਰਸੀ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਖਾਲੀ ਸੀ। ਤਦ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਨਾਥਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਕੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਯੱਸੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਵੇਂ ਚੰਨ ਦੀ ਦਾਵਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ?”

ਸਮੂਏਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਜੋ ਹੋਰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਇੰਝ ਰਾਜ ਕਰੇਗਾ: ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਖੋਹ ਲਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਬਣਨ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਰੱਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘੁੜ-ਸਵਾਰ ਬਣਾਕੇ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਰੱਥ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਰੱਖਵਾਲੇ ਬਣਕੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ-ਅੱਗੇ ਭੱਜਣਗੇ।
