ਪਰ ਅਹਾਬ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਹ ਬਚਨ ਤੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੋਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਜਾਂ ਇਹ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਨਬਚਨੀ ਆਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਦੱਸ। ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਵਾਰ ਸਮਝਾਵਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅਗੰਮ ਵਾਕ ਸੁਣਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕੀ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ?”

ਕੁਝ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਇਧਰ-ਉਧਰ ਫ਼ਿਰਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮੇ ਕੱਢਦੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਸੱਕੇਵਾ ਵੱਡੇ ਜਾਜਕ ਦੇ ਸੱਤੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਇਹੀ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਆ ਜਾਓ ਜਿਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।”
