ਬਨ-ਹਦਦ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਅਹਾਬ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਸੁਰਾਗ ਸੁਣਕੇ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਪੱਕ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਬਨ-ਹਦਦ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਾਰੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਦੋਂ ਆਹਾਬ ਨੇ ਬਨ-ਹਦਦ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਭਰਾ ਆਖਿਆ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਝਟ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹਾਂ! ਬਨ-ਹਦਦ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਰਾ ਹੈ।” ਅਹਾਬ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਲੈ ਆਓ।” ਤਾਂ ਬਨ-ਹਦਦ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਅਹਾਬ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਥ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਿਠਾ ਲਿਆ।
1 Kings 20:1
ਬਨ-ਹਦਦ ਅਤੇ ਅਹਾਬ ਦਾ ਜੰਗ ਤੇ ਜਾਣਾ ਬਨ-ਹਦਦ ਅਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨਾਲ 32 ਰਾਜੇ ਉਸ ਸੰਗ ਸਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਘੋੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਰੱਥ ਵੀ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜੇ।
