Ecclesiastes 2:17
ਕੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਚੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਹੈ? ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕੀਤੀ, ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਪਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਇਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੋਝਿਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਅਰਬਹੀਣ ਹੈ, ਹਵਾ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਵਾਂਗ।

| is grievous | תַּ֣חַת | taḥat | TA-haht |
| unto | הַשָּׁ֑מֶשׁ | haššāmeš | ha-SHA-mesh |
| me: for | כִּֽי | kî | kee |
| all | הַכֹּ֥ל | hakkōl | ha-KOLE |
| is vanity | הֶ֖בֶל | hebel | HEH-vel |
| and vexation | וּרְע֥וּת | ûrĕʿût | oo-reh-OOT |
