ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅੰਮੋਨੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਆਬੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਉਸ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਵੇਲੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਸੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਰੋਟੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਿਲਆਮ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਸੇ ਦੇਕੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਰਾਪ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। (ਬਿਲਆਮ ਮਸੋਪੋਤਾਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਫ਼ਤੋਂਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਓਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ।)
