Deuteronomy 17:5
ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦੇਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਮੰਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਜਾਂ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕੋਲ ਲਿਜਾਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

| עָ֠שׂוּ | ʿāśû | AH-soo | |
| that | אֶת | ʾet | et |
| wicked | הַדָּבָ֨ר | haddābār | ha-da-VAHR |
| thing, | הָרָ֤ע | hārāʿ | ha-RA |
| unto | הַזֶּה֙ | hazzeh | ha-ZEH |
| gates, thy | אֶל | ʾel | el |
| even | שְׁעָרֶ֔יךָ | šĕʿārêkā | sheh-ah-RAY-ha |
| that man | אֶת | ʾet | et |
| or | הָאִ֕ישׁ | hāʾîš | ha-EESH |
| א֖וֹ | ʾô | oh | |
| that woman, | אֶת | ʾet | et |
| stone shalt and | הָֽאִשָּׁ֑ה | hāʾiššâ | ha-ee-SHA |
| them with stones, | וּסְקַלְתָּ֥ם | ûsĕqaltām | oo-seh-kahl-TAHM |
| till they die. | בָּֽאֲבָנִ֖ים | bāʾăbānîm | ba-uh-va-NEEM |
