Deuteronomy 15:22
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਦਾ ਮਾਸ ਖਾ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਖਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਪਾਕ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਨਾਪਾਕ। ਇਸ ਮਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਉਹੀ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਹਿਰਨ ਦੇ ਮਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਗਜ਼ੇਲ ਦੇ ਮਾਸ ਲਈ ਹਨ।

| it within thy gates: | תֹּֽאכְלֶ֑נּוּ | tōʾkĕlennû | toh-heh-LEH-noo |
| unclean the | הַטָּמֵ֤א | haṭṭāmēʾ | ha-ta-MAY |
| and the clean | וְהַטָּהוֹר֙ | wĕhaṭṭāhôr | veh-ha-ta-HORE |
| alike, it eat shall person | יַחְדָּ֔ו | yaḥdāw | yahk-DAHV |
| as the roebuck, | כַּצְּבִ֖י | kaṣṣĕbî | ka-tseh-VEE |
| and as the hart. | וְכָֽאַיָּֽל׃ | wĕkāʾayyāl | veh-HA-ah-YAHL |
