Deuteronomy 12:3
ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਦਗਾਰੀ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਟੁਕੜੇ-ਟੁਕੜੇ ਕਰ ਦੇਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਸ਼ੇਰਾਹ ਦੇ ਥੰਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਭੰਨ ਦੇਣੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ।

| pillars, their | מַצֵּ֣בֹתָ֔ם | maṣṣēbōtām | ma-TSAY-voh-TAHM |
| and burn | וַאֲשֵֽׁרֵיהֶם֙ | waʾăšērêhem | va-uh-shay-ray-HEM |
| their groves | תִּשְׂרְפ֣וּן | tiśrĕpûn | tees-reh-FOON |
| with fire; | בָּאֵ֔שׁ | bāʾēš | ba-AYSH |
| down hew shall ye and | וּפְסִילֵ֥י | ûpĕsîlê | oo-feh-see-LAY |
| the graven images | אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֖ם | ʾĕlōhêhem | ay-loh-hay-HEM |
| of their gods, | תְּגַדֵּע֑וּן | tĕgaddēʿûn | teh-ɡa-day-OON |
| destroy and | וְאִבַּדְתֶּ֣ם | wĕʾibbadtem | veh-ee-bahd-TEM |
