ਜਦੋਂ ਦਾਨੀਏਲ ਨੇ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਸੁਣੀ ਉਹ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਕੋਲ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਦਾਨੀਏਲ ਨੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਰ ਸਮਾਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅਰਬ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸ ਸੱਕੇਗਾ।

Then Daniel	וְדָ֣נִיֵּ֔אל	dāniyyēl	da-nee-YALE
went in,	עַ֖ל	ʿălal	uh-LAHL
and desired	וּבְעָ֣ה	bĕʿāʾ	beh-AH
of	מִן	min	meen
the king	מַלְכָּ֑א	melek	meh-LEK
that	דִּ֚י	dî	dee
him time,	זְמָ֣ן	zĕmān	zeh-MAHN
he would give	יִנְתֵּן	nĕtan	neh-TAHN
	לֵ֔הּ
the interpretation.	וּפִשְׁרָ֖א	pĕšar	peh-SHAHR
and that he would shew	לְהַֽחֲוָיָ֥ה	ḥăwāʾ	huh-VA
the king	לְמַלְכָּֽא׃	melek	meh-LEK
