1 John 2:11
ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਅੰਧਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਧਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਹੈ? ਉਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਅੰਧਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।

੧ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ 2:9
ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਮੈਂ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਂ।” ਪਰ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਅੰਧਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ।
ਅਮਸਾਲ 4:19
ਪਰ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਕਾਲੇ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਉਹ ਕਾਹਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਏ।

“ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਕਠੋਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਨਾ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖ ਸੱਕਣ, ਨਾ ਦਿਮਾਗ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਝ ਸੱਕਣ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਆਉਣ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਾਂ।”

ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਲੇ ਲੱਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਕੇ ਸੀ। ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ ਵੀ, ਜਦੋਂ ਪੁਰਾਣਾ ਕਰਾਰ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹੀ ਪਰਦਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਰੱਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਢੱਕ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਪਰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਟਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਕੇਵਲ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੀ ਹਟਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
੨ ਕੁਰਿੰਥੀਆਂ 4:4
ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ। ਉਹ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦੀ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ, ਮਸੀਹ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਨੂੰ, ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਖ ਸੱਕਦੇ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਮਸੀਹ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਹੂ-ਬ-ਹੂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ।
ਤੀਤੁਸ 3:3
ਬੀਤੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਮੂਰਖ ਸਾਂ। ਅਸੀਂ ਆਖਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਸਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਗਲਤ ਸਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਸਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਨਣੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਅਸੀਂ ਬਦੀ ਭਰਿਆ ਜੀਵਨ ਜੀ ਰਹੇ ਸਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਈਰਖਾਲੂ ਸਾਂ। ਲੋਕ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਾਂ।
੧ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ 1:6
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਗਤ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਅੰਧਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਉਣਾ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਝੂਠੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਸੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੋਲਦੇ।
ਪਰਕਾਸ਼ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ 3:17
ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਖਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਮੀਰ ਹੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਮੀਰ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਚੀਜ਼ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ। ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੁੱਖੀ, ਮੰਦਭਾਗੇ, ਕੰਗਾਲ, ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਨੰਗੇ ਹੋ।
